Philip looked at Vaele and gave a small smile before the male looked down to the face of his child. "Thank you Vaele. I think, an honorable strong name. One that he could be proud of if he were here." Philip smiled down at his child and pulled away the blanket from his child's face so the prince could get a look at the child. The baby appeared to be sleeping expect for the lack of any movement.

Philip looked down at his son and nodded. "Little Vealde. Perhaps we will see each other again under happier circumstances." He said softly before looking up at Vaele. "Thank you for this my prince. If there is any way I can thank you." He said softly looking from his child to the prince. "I should see the priest and find out where he will be buried."

Solaris had heard that his former mate was feeling well enough to move around and had even taken the child that had disgraced them to a sanctuary closely followed by the prince. While normally the blue scaled merman would have just dismissed the entire thing figuring that he could be mated to someone else rather quickly so he could have that desired heir. It had been a pity that Philip hadn't produced a living offspring, he had rather liked the other and he wasn't bad looking any of their offspring would have been graced with their good looks and fortunes of having a powerful family.

"I... would like that, if you are not busy of course." Philip said looking at his prince for a moment before the priest and groundskeeper came up to the pair. "Welcome, it is a great sadness to meet under such conditions, but I assure you your child will be well cared for here. We have a plot available right now if you wish to view it?" Philip nodded his head and looked to Vaele. "Should we look at it together?" He asked before looking at the two that joined them. He was starting to grow tired again and wanted very much to rest, but this had to be done before he was able to do anything else.

As Philip saw the plot they would offer to his child he nodded liking the location and looked to the men. "I have nothing to bury him in, would a few jewels be enough to pay for a casket and this location?" Philip asked pulling at the bracelets on his arm knowing that the silver was worth a fair amount having been gifts from his former mate. It only made sense that the jewelry be used to pay for his son's burial.

"I would be honored to have you make his tombstone." Philip said wondering just what the man would do. He assumed that the prince was just going to buy one and have it made for the child.

Hearing about the donations Philip pulled off a bracelet anyways. "This is all I have right now, to offer for a donation, but the silver is good and the stone is real." He said after a bit looking at his child for a moment. "Is there a casket to put him in? It is getting harder to hold him. I love my child, but I have to think about what is best and the longer I hold him, the more likely I am to just swim away with him."

Philip nodded and put his son into the casket as if he were laying the baby into a crib before he tucked the blankets around the body gently as a mother would do. When he was informed of being able to pick out flowers he could have grow above the grave.

As he swam off to follow the priestess he picked out a few flowers that he thought would grow well and that he liked the look of. When he returned he gasped and stopped where he was. In the spot for Vealde's tombstone was a beautiful cross that glittered and sparkled in the light. It brought new tears to his eyes and he looked at Vaele. "Oh its beautiful. Thank you, it is better then anything I could ever give to my son." The merman said wanting to swim up to Vaele and hug him but he thought it wouldn't be appropriate."

That was when Philip noticed that the prince seemed a bit pale. It could be his imagination or to seeing a dead child that was finally getting to him. "Prince Vaele, are you feeling alright? If you need anything I shouldn't keep you, I can try to get something for you?" He asked a bit worried for the man that had been so kind to him before.

((Im thinking next post Philip returns home to rest and that is when Vaele can see Solaris.))

Philip looked at Vaele then to the grave and shook his head. "I was with him for three days before I was strong enough to bring him here." He said before looking away from the grave and his infant son. "If you wish, you can rest at my home it is closer then the palace." Philip said offering his place since it seemed that Vaele wanted to keep an eye on him anyways. "I apologize in advance if you decide to come back with me. I haven't had a chance to clean the home or take care of the aftermath." Philip looked away from the prince then currently setting on the ground near the grave to rest. He knew he was showing signs of weakness but it didn't matter to him just then, he was ready to sleep right where he was.

After he had his strength Philip got up once again and started to swim back home believing that he would be able to rest without much difficulty. He returned home seeing that nothing had changed and he let out a sigh before swimming into the house and finding a couch. He didn't want to go up to his room just yet not wanting to face that he was now officially alone. Settling onto the couch Philip felt his eyes grow heavy and he drifted off.

Philip would clean and rest, but he wasn't hungry just then. Yes he was aware that he needed to eat at some point but he wasn't sure if he really wanted to recover. He currently slept curled up on the couch knowing that when he woke he would have to clean up the room he wanted no part of.

That evening Philip woke up groaning as his tail had changed into legs once more. He slowly made his way to the bedroom and started to gather up the sheets and other items not looking at what he was throwing out. All he knew was that he wanted it gone. When it was finished Philip was tired and shaking due to the emotions that he was keeping bottled up. The items in the room he wanted gone were outside of his home waiting in a garbage while he cleaned up and went to rest once again. He just felt so tired these last few days and knew that it was depression and not eating along with the strain on his body that made him feel this way.
