Aurora was still a bit curious about him more in particular than anything else. "I see. Does a kirin's body have something that a normal pony doesn't or is it just the fact that the unicorn you just gave up was weak completely?"

"Larger ponies are tougher. They can take more damage. The other was a fool. No challenge at all." Shayde tapped Tillian's chest. "This one fights." A sick smile spread across Tillian's face. Shayde had not had fun in so long, chained in his basement. He liked fun.

Aurora let a small chuckle escape. "Boy you could say that again. He looked kind of funny too. I guess he's the comic relief or something." She stretched out a bit. "So I'm guessing you don't get out too much?" She paused for a second. "Do you know any interesting paths to go on a walk? Maybe we could enjoy more of the scenery and if you find a body you prefer better than you could take that one too."

Aurora thought about it for a while. "Hmm that sounds interesting. As long as it's some new sight I can take in that I haven't seen I'm glad, although I am happy to be anywhere I guess." She looked around for a minute. "I was never in Nightmare valley to tell you the truth so this should be interesting. Is there anything different I should know about it compared to Dream Valley?"

Shayde cocked Tillian's head. "This place is bad," he said. "My feet feel the energies of the earth. In Dream Valley it is good. It hurts me. Here, it is bad. It makes bad ponies stronger."He pointed to the grim, grey mountains to the far side of Nightmare Valley, between the valley and the sea, and then to the bright, shimmering fields and gleaming natural rock formation of Dream Valley.

Aurora paused for a moment. "Hmm...I see." She stepped over more into nightmare valley. "Well I'm not afraid of the darkness. Sometimes it can be misunderstood too. Besides, I have some siblings that live in Nightmare valley." She paused for a second. "Although I never got to meet them. I guess I shouldn't assume all ponies want to get to meet their relatives." She looked back at Shayde. "Well I guess it's good you live here. I would hate to see you have to suffer pain. You've been good company thus far. Plus I like to see all the different types of magic possible. It makes things more interesting."
(Good grief! She's too freaking naive!!!))

"Different magics, yes," agreed Shayde. If all she wanted here was to see different magic, maybe she was no risk, maybe she could be an asset to the magic guild. "Magic guild is full of different magic." He pointed to a tall tower built of grey stone stabbing up to the sky from the base of the valley. Around the foot, it sprawled out in a lower floor or two. It looked just like a needle sticking up from cloth.

Aurora looked at the magic guild. "Wooow!" Her jaw dropped like a little kid in sheer shock and amusement. "There must be plenty that attend that guild. They sure have a lot of space." She looked back at Shayde. "Are you a member?"

Aurora looked from the guild back to Shayde. "Oh..." She raised an eyebrow. "So you do have a master or sort of family?" She then looked back at the guild. "I won't force it out of you, because you do seem nervous, but does the guild specialize in any type of magic?"

"All magic," said Shayde. "Or... but no Goblin Magic. Dark magic, light magic." Goblin magic different."
He turned Tillian's head jerkily, as though he wasn't quite used to it. "What is family?"

Aurora cocked her head to the side. "Goblin Magic? I'm guessing that must be pretty special or powerful. Only magic I know is simple illusion tricks and maybe being able to summon different things." She scratched her chin. "Although I can't say for sure." When Shayde mentioned about a family she sort of felt slightly relieved she wasn't the only one. "Well they are supposed to be a group of people who care for you, but I never really got to know my family too well. I was sent off to live with a Hippogryph so I guess that counts as mine."
(Only reason she doesn't know is because she was not raised by her normal family.)
