Paradox snickered.
”Now now, mustn't take naps in the dirt.” Paradox filled both hands with energy. She normally wouldn't press the assault like this, but Baba's thinking she could take her spot really pissed her off.
"Let's wake you up!" She fired her wave blast again, except with this much energy and the usage of both hands it looked more like a slow rain of energy orbs ready to explode on contact. The same rules apply.

Baba Yaga

__________________________________________________________ After Paradox had launched her attack the orbs caused several explosions and there was dead silence. Baba's mortar and pestle dropped onto the arena floor with a thud. "Well that wasn't very nice..." Suddenly there was a huge spike in magical energy and the dust was blown away. At the center stood the cloaked crone, but she stood taller than before. With a single motion she threw off her cloak.  Baba looked entirely different than before. No longer was she a ragged old lady but an attractive woman. She brushed a hair from her face as her soul became visible. It resembled her old woman face, with a long bent nose and crooked teeth, and was several meters across and growing. "Well this is a turn for the books. It's quite rare for someone to force me to release my soul protect." Unlike the mad cackling voice of her crone form, her true form had a voice like smooth honey that would make any decent man weak at the knees.

”Ah, there we go~!” Paradox cheered from her place in the sky.
"Perhaps it wasn't," she said addressing her comment, "but neither is what you're trying to pull." Paradox took note of her soul. It was quite impressive. She whipped up a little of her power around her to create a little whirling atmosphere of florescent energy. It wasn't more than a couple feet out from her body, but it was very compact.
"Let's get the real show started, eh?" Paradox put up her guard and awaited the other witch to make her move.

__________________________________________________________ Baba smirked and raised one hand towards Paradox. At the center a small black mass began to form. Suddenly it burst into a huge beam of dark magic. The ground literally shook as she fired the mass of energy at Paradox but Baba herself was unaffected. It had been sometime since she went all out and she wanted to enjoy it.

Paradox kept her guard up and braced for impact. The beam swept her away like a spider in a gutter, but eventually would slow down. The forcefield started to crack about that time, and Paradox took the tail end of the attack.
”Hmhmhmhm... Not bad. Not bad at all.” Her voice seemed to come from all around, echoing and bending around the objects of the dimension.
Paradox could be seen finally at an angle in the air behind and above the herbalist witch. A ghostly tail of shadowy energy followed her. She fired another wave blast up over Baba, and the explosions would send energy down in a powdery snow.
"This should be fun!"

__________________________________________________________ As soon as her beam attack stopped Baba moved her other hand. A large canopy of dark energy formed quickly above her blocking the attacks. With another motion the barrier separated into hundreds of small balls and shot outwards. It didn't matter that she wasn't aiming this attack the sheer number of balls was like being caught in a hail of bullets. Truly this was a fight to which the special effects department would need a huge budget to produce.

Paradox looked with raised eyebrows at the way her attack was blocked. However, her energy had accumulated on top of the barrier. When she split it into innumerable pieces, she didn't do herself any favors.
Paradox waited until she committed to the attack, taking shot shots which took some skin off her shoulders, before striking. She teleported above her blanket of energy, which had been floating there and sent a pulse of energy from her soul into it. The giant sheet of energy would come crashing down on Baba like an avalanche.

__________________________________________________________ Baba was quite surprised by Paradox's attack. As the energy came down on her Baba moved both her hands. With one she formed another barrier and the other created pillars to act as supports. When the energy fell over her Baba adjusted her barrier to form a flat drill and spun it, piercing through the energy. She dropped her hands and flexed her fingers, she must have been getting rusty after all these years.

Paradox smirked. She didn't need her attack to crush Baba--ok that would have been nice, but she would also take her opportunity to attack.
”Hello~” Said Paradox from the ground below as she fired two rounds of double handed wave blasts up at Baba. If she let down her shields she would have to deal with the energy she just drilled through as it feel all around in big chunks.
"Are you having fun yet?" She chirped at the old/young witch.

__________________________________________________________ Baba jumped back and into the air, her mortar and pestle flying up to meet her. Standing on the ridge Baga held the pestle and stroked in with her free hand. The dark magic she had been using faded away, clearing the battle field. A bead of sweat ran down her face. Though it was true Baba Yaga was one of the most powerful witches of her time her years in isolation had dulled her skills. Paradox also had the home field advantage, everything here was of her making and had almost limitless potential. She sighed heavily and lowered her pestle. "Well it would seem I am at a disadvantage. Very well I submit to defeat and will work beneath you." Lowering herself to the ground Baba's mortar and pestle crumbled away into dust. She stood with her hand on her hip and held up a piece of parchment, a raven feather and a long knife in her other hand. "This as a Deal. I'm sure you've heard of this kind of magic, it's as old as the gods and I'm one of the few that can use it. Two people sign the Deal, then both parties are free to make one demand of the other. There are no loopholes, no swindles and no backing out. Any demands made must be fulfilled until the task is complete or they are released from their duty. Of course there are restrictions, no party can demand the others life or the entire deal is forfeit. And the demand cannot be something impossible. But so long as it is within their power they have to do it." Baba smiled her eyes showing hints of mischief and cunning. "So are you willing to make a Deal with The Iron-Toothed Witch?"

Paradox snickered and dispelled her energy. She took a few steps toward Baba and looked curiously at the parchment, a wry smile on her face.
”What's this? You couldn't outsmart me in battle, and now you think you can put one over on me with this thing--a contract!” Clearly she wasn't amused.
"Why should I sign this, when you've just conceded? You seem to forget who holds the cards here." She rubbed her eyes and humored the elder.
"... What's in it for you?"

It had been a long time since she had assumed her true form and she felt like flaunting it off. "This is the one of the oldest magics in the world. Anything written down has to be obeyed. If you want me to work under you and ensure my loyalty then there is no better way. As for me? Well, let's just say you'll owe me a favor. It's not a bad deal. So what do you say? Do you want to risk me stabbing you in the back at any given chance or continue fighting which will likely lead to both our deaths. Or would you rather have me on your side?" She held out the tools for the contract to Paradox. "All you have to do is sign in your blood and speak your demand. I have already signed."

”It appears I'm dealing with an extortionist.” She snapped her fingers and a table materialized between them.
"I believe I deserve to know what kind of favor I'll be owing. Spell it out for me, hm?" Paradox was shrewd if nothing else. And besides, underhanded tricks were supposed to be her thing--a matter of pride, damnit!

__________________________________________________________ Baba placed the parchment and tools down on the table. "If you must know I will ask you to do one thing. A single act that will not harm anyone. Though contract aside I'd prefer you not tell anyone outside our group about my true form. It's expected of me to be a mad old crone." She placed her hand on her chin and smirked. "If people knew I was actually beautiful then the line of suitors would be endless. Though I wouldn't mind the company. There are many cold nights in Russia."

”Eheheheh!” Paradox couldn't help laughing. She knew she'd found a witch just like herself: not only in her pride in her beauty, but not trusting of anyone.
"I don't sign anything without reading it, but if this is so important to you to subject yourself to my will, then I guess I have nothing to lose." She took a moment to look the thing over.
"That's it...?" She almost couldn't believe it.
"Well, I don't really see anything saying the terms of both parties have to be equivalent, so why not? Let's do it." She picked up the quill and knife and produced a red ink fount of her left palm. She spoke as she wrote.
"I, Paradox, hereby agree to the aforementioned secrecy of the true nature of the witch called Baba. In exchange, I demand subservient behavior from Baba in the presence of the rest of my coven, establishing me as the leader." She looked up at Baba to make sure she was alright with it all.
"As such, I will dictate all activity of the congregation including: statements, orders given to individuals to be carried out on their own time, and positions and titles given to members of the coven."
"Iron Toothed witch Baba will hold the title of Owl, thus cementing her place as the wise old crone."
Paradox placed the paper on the table and proceeded to sign it. She smiled at Baba when she was done.
"Will you be staying for the meeting?"
