It was the very first time Tommy felt his shield go, and while the blow that Leslie delivered likely didn't hurt as much as it should have, it still hurt more than the mist trainee had been expecting, and he was sent reeling back with a hiss, his hand going to his accosted right shoulder as his gauntlets disappeared and resumed form as a metal, unadorned bracelet on each wrist.
