Frost eyed her children and decided she would only mention this change in sleeping arrangements with Jyahk only if the little ones remembered the change come night time.

Sekkei glowered at her idiot brothers, wondering how she could have possibly come from the same parents as them. Clearly they had been swimming in the shallow end of the gene pool.
Frost sighed and looked toward the entrance, wondering where her mate was with the food.

As if summoned, because that is totally how the world works, Jhayk came back, the minutes he was gone feeling like months in some ways. He dragged a mat of leaves that was piled high with breakfast, fruits and grasses and leaves and whatever else each member of the family liked best that grew nearby.
