Sable took his foot off the brake and put it on the accelerator as everyone finished getting in. "They'll just call you Schwartz," he told Despair. "So you don't need to worry about your first name." Texas gave Despair a glare when he heard his comments. "Just don't cause a scene in the middle of the refugee camp, okay?" He asked. The jeep drove quickly through the woods although it was a bumpy ride. "Yeah, Bai told me to tell you to "look for a familiar face," and that's where you want to start," he said, looking specifically at Lily and Mirai. "Something about the future in the present or something like that." He shrugged, clearly not knowing about the group's trip to the future or who they met there. "I don't know what this is about, but there are quite a few Machinist forces there. Many of them are officers from the female Officer Candidate School. It was the one furthest away from the reactor when it detonated so it had the most survivors. At least, that's what I've been told. There's male officers there too of course. And since the General Distress Signal went out, anyone who has access to wireless communication has received recall orders so who knows who else has made it back. The Machinists had all kinds of expeditionary forces and agents all over the world. Most of them should be on their way back which is why it's much easier to sneak you in: new faces won't be surprising at all. If anyone asks just flash your IDs. All of you except the Kitsune are high-ranking so there's not too many people allowed to ask you questions." The drive through the woods was thankfully brief - perhaps 30 minutes or so. As soon as they woods opened up onto a field Sable hit the brakes, grinding to a halt. Spread out before them about a mile away was the Refugee Camp:
The tents spread out as far as the eye could see and it was teeming with people. It was dirty too, with trash and other debris scattered across it. Everyone would be able to hear the voices of men, women and children wafting through the air as people moved about. In the middle of the camp the Machinist Flag flew high on the flagpole, flapping in the breeze.
"This is as far as I go," Sable told them, motioning for them to get out. "You'll have to walk from here. Look for someone who looks important and report in to them. I'll go back and wait for Melanie. I'll send her up your way as soon as she arrives. Then I'm done. Don't expect any more help. I don't want anything to do with these guys." Texas hopped off the back of the jeep and onto the ground. "Let's go, Mary," he said in a similar teasing tone.

Hearing Lily, Despair would laugh, "If you keep up that attitude, I may want to go ahead and purchase you for the rest of this ride." he joked, while noticing how Mirai has yet to say or even acknowledge him. Was she perhaps upset? Why? He did nothing to her, well maybe he killed her brother, but still, it wasn't that big of a deal. Oh well, if she didn't want to enjoy their little reunion, he wouldn't force her, but the same could not be said about Texas. Despair glanced at the boy, "Say, um....Dakota, have you and Mirai sealed the deal, yet?" he asked rather bluntly. Of course, Despair called Texas by the wrong name on purpose. As he waited for a reply, Despair would shift his focus to Sable as he spoke. "Hm, Schwartz, does sound better." Despair replied, as Sable began to explain the state of the camp and the overall condition. "Things sound like it'll be fun there." he added. Soon, the group would reach the Refugee Camp. The Camp was as expected, depressing and noisy, but hey, he didn't think there would be happy, smiling faces everywhere. Exiting the jeep, Despair would stretch and yawn. Traveling so slowly and cramped up like that, did take its toll on him, though mostly he was just bored, extremely bored.

Mirai listened to Sable quietly while simultaneously ignoring Despair still. She glanced over at the camp, it was quite a step back from their huge and impressive headquarters that now lay in ruins. She smiled slightly at Texas before getting off the Jeep once it came to a stop. Mirai looked over at Sable "Thank you," she told him before bowing slightly.
Sable gave Mirai a small nod as the last of them hopped out. As soon as they had done so he quickly put the jeep in reverse, turning around and driving quickly back into the woods. The sound of the engine faded within moments. Texas frowned as he heard Despair. "My name is Texas. Dakota is a girl's name." He waited until Mirai had turned away before quickly leaning towards Despair. "Twice," he whispered quickly with a proud grin on his face before it faded and he quickly walked to catch up with her. As the group walked up to the tents many people turned to look at them. Men, women and children all looked at the group, but not with suspicion in their eyes; more like curiosity. Mostly their gazes fell on Lily. The women seemed to be looking at her in disgust, the men were looking her up and down, and the children were looking in wonder. Clearly kitsunes were a rare sight. No one approached them however. As the group continued to walk they would eventually spot someone who looked different from the rest. She was wearing what looked like an officer's uniform though it was ragged and tattered. There were rips throughout it and darkened stains which from the looks were probably dried blood. There was a rip in her dress pants right at the right knee. Despite this, the Machinist Order's symbol was still worn proudly on a white band wrapped around her right arm. She hadn't noticed them yet and had a clipboard in her hand, marking down the contents of a stack of metal boxes that were being off-loaded by a military truck in front of her.

Mirai began walking, not hearing Texas' quick remark to Despair. She glanced around, a neutral expression on her face as she saw just how many people were there. Sable said to look for familiar faces though she wasn't seeing any. Her gaze shifted to the woman that was busy with loading some boxes on a military truck. She paused for a moment before walking over "Do you need any assistance?" she asked, curiously glancing at the crates. She figured offering assistance would be a good way to start off acting as "Mary"

"Texas or Dakota, either one works. Though you look more like a Dakota than a Texas." Despair stated, essentially trying to change the boy's name. Despair went on to smile as Texas answered his previous question. "Twice? Is that all? Hm, well you two are fairly young. I guess it can't be helped." he would add before walking behind the others. As he and the others walked through the camp, Despair didn't seem to mind the fact that almost all eyes were on them. Hell, it would have been odd if no one stared. While they continued to walk, the group would notice a young lady dressed in uniform, she was different from the others, more official. As Mirai went over and asked if the woman needed any assistance, Despair would fall back and stand next to Lily, "Perhaps you should go and offer up a sample to some of them men around here. They seem to be really interested." he joked.
Trainee Nurse Melanie Du Coteau . Demon Weapon. The webs we weave?
After taking a shot, Melanie waited a bit for the medicine effect to kick in. After all she didn't knew what kind of diseases she might be exposed to, so she better be prepared. Making a quick first aid kit, she ventured forward on her mission. However, on her way she stopped by Nurse Mortem who lectured her strictly since Melanie wasn't Cynthia's favorite person in the world, she would have to be extra careful since Cynthia would use any excuse to make Melanie's life a living hell. After the chatter was over she was 20 minutes late from her set time, the poor girl had to run like mad before getting her transport to the designated meeting point. Already dead late, Melanie finally arrived, with the place completely desolated, having an old Jeep becoming her only company, mostly since she failed to see Sable who was probably either taking nature's call, hiding from the enemy or waiting inside the jeep. "Oh no, I'm late." Stated the redhead since she couldn't see anyone around at the moment. Assuming the rest of the team was already undergoing the mission.

Some men just want to see the world burn...
And I just want to show them.
The young officer stopped what she was doing and turned to look at the group as Mirai asked if they needed any help. A neutral expression was on her face as her eyes drifted over each one of them, lingering only a moment longer on the Kitsune before coming back to Mirai. "It depends," she replied. When she turned to face them the group would be able to notice that she was wearing a tight, blueish belt that matched her outfit. On the right side was a holster with a gun and on the left was a cutlass hooked into the belt.
"Who are you? Do you have any ID on you?" She asked, she seemed a little wary but mostly curious. As Sable had said, they'd been having Machinist units recalled from all over so new arrivals weren't surprising. As the group was talking to her, they would also be able to hear children's voices behind them. It seemed as if a small group of children had formed up in a semi-circle a few yards behind Lily. They were each whispering loudly to each other, daring each other to go up and pull her tail. They each inched forward, pushing each other and giggling.
Meanwhile, as Melanie approached the jeep a figure stepped out from behind some trees. Once again it was Sable. "I suppose you're the last one then," he said, a mixture of annoyance and relief in his voice. "I just dropped off the others a few minutes ago." He reached into his back pocket and took out the last passport, handing it to her. "Here. This is your fake ID to get in. Your name is the same since no one knows it and it's human enough. You're from the Lower Cities and your parents both ran a non-profit clinic. You joined up with the Machinist Medic Corps and trained to be a field medic. You were away on leave when the Machinist HQ was destroyed and you got the recall message. I'll take you to the refugee camp in this jeep," he told her, nodding to the jeep behind him. Melanie's passport had a dark blue cover with white pages like the other "humans" in her group. It had her picture, age, height, hair color, eye color, etc and in the upper right-hand corner there was a big M3 stamped in bold, black ink. He turned and hopped into the jeep, motioning for her to get in as well. "Like I said, your friends are already there. They haven't been there for too long though so I doubt you've missed much of anything." He turned to look back at her. "If you have any questions, ask now," he told her as he waited for her to get in.

Mirai blinked in surprise as the officer asked who she was "Oh! Right!" she reached into her pocket then "My name is Mary..." she said as she rummaged for her ID before slipping it out and holding it out to the officer "My partner, Roland, and I just got here. We were away on a mission to look for the Blackwing HQ but when we got word of what happened, we came here as quickly as possible..." she said with a small smile. Her gaze went to some of the groups, her smile fading "I wish we would have gotten here sooner though," she said. Mirai was certain she would be a good actress if she was human. She seemed to even beat Shira in terms of acting even. She left Lily and Despair out of her explanation though mainly because their aliases had no relation to hers and Texas'

With the sudden development of events Melanie briefly had any chance to ask a thing before getting her ID, observing the document she waited patiently until Sable was over and asked if she had any doubts. "This... camp. It doesn't have a graveyard nearby, does it?" The question didn't seem to bear any sense at the moment, et she merely smiled nervously as if still expecting an answer. "It kinda make me nervous to be the only one without an alias..." She commented while trying to memorize her new identity while at it.

[ Threat: Extremely Dangerous]|[ Despair ]|[ Title: Demon of Light and Hope]|
Despair couldn't help but to smile as Lily was just as defiant as Shira, which only made him want to tease her more, however, he would have to wait as the female officer questioned them and asked for ID. Reaching into his pocket, Despair removed his ID and approached the woman, showing it to her. "Kevin Schwartz. I was, or rather am, a member of, her majesty, Saint Clara's bodyguards." he stated before narrowing his eyes and becoming visibly upset at the thought of the Saint. "However, days before the assault on the HQ, her majesty sent me away on a different mission." Clearly this made the man furious, as he thought of what happened when he gone. He should have been there, he could have taken down the fools who dared to oppose his beloved Saint. "By the time the news of the destruction reached my ears, I hurried back, but found only death and despair." Kevin told the woman before calming back down and trying to regain himself. "So, I was recalled here and tasked with aiding you all, but I have also been tasked with locating her majesty and any other officials that may have escaped." With that, Kevin would stand proud and resolute in front of the woman. It seemed that Despair had literally taken on the persona of Kevin, he didn't give off any of that strange aura that he was known for, nor did he smile. He appeared to be just as he stated, a bodyguard of the Saint, who was distraught that he could not have aided her and now seeks revenge. Once he had finished his little introduction, Kevin glanced over at the children who were edging ever closer towards the Kitsune. Walking over, Kevin bent down and rubbed one of their heads. "I would be careful if I were you. Kitsune's have a rather short temper and can be a little sensitive. So, you should not try and mess with her too much, though, if she knows her place, she will bite her tongue and do as she is told, or she may never get to see her family again." Kevin stated before shooting a smug grin at Lily. Despair had gotten into character and there was no way that he was going to break it now.
Sable spared Melanie a strange look before he began to drive. "Yeah, why?" He asked. "In the first days there were a lot of people too badly injured to be saved and afterwards a lot of people got fatally sick from the dirty water and living conditions.....too many to bury individually. A mass grave was made a few miles away from the Refugee camp where it couldn't be seen or smelt. I remember they were taking bodies out of the camp by the truck load for almost two weeks. It was a really bad time. They have the place still under guard to prevent looting. The guards have gas-masks of course....and they rotate often." He fell silent for a moment as the jeep continued quickly through the woods, even after Melanie made her next comment. Finally he spoke again. "It's fine. No one knows who you are. You weren't even there during the raid. Besides, they'll be so happy to have another person with medical experience they'd hardly ask any questions at all." Sable picked up the pace, easily backtracking through his old route and made it to the edge of the camp in about 10 minutes. "Last stop," he said gloomily as the jeep ground to a halt. "My part in this is done. The others should already be in the camp. If they're smart they'll stay together. You should be able to sense their wavelengths easily."
Meanwhile, the girl took the IDs from each of them as Texas handed his over as well, flipping through the papers. Her eyes widened as she looked through them and widened even more as she heard Despair's presentation. "Two T1s and an EG??" She asked as if in complete amazement. "And....you were a ROYAL guard!?" She seemed to have fallen for the IDs, Mirai's and Despair's acting skills hook line and sinker. She handed them back their IDs quickly and gave them a sharp salute. "Lieutenant Laurell. It's an honor to have you with us," shed told them. She relaxed again, a big grin forming on her face. "I can't believe our good luck! You guys came at the perfect time! I need to show you guys to the Captain, come with me." She made to turn away before quickly turning back. "Oh, since the Kitsune came with you, it's your guys' responsibility. Don't let it wander off or bite anyone," she told them, pointing the end of her pencil at Lily. Then she quickly handed her clipboard and pencil to one of the nearby soldiers, telling him to continue taking inventory of what was in the boxes.
When Despair turned to the children and spoke to them, they squealed in excitement and fear, quickly retreating several more yards away. The one whom he had pet on the head quickly followed them. They formed up in a semi-circle again but they didn't try to inch forward anymore.
Lt. Laurell quickly turned back to them, having finished her explanation to the guard. "Come with me!" She told them, the grin once again on her face as she began walking and motioned for them to follow.
