"I'm sure they will be!" Henry exclaimed. "I'm definitely no master at Raevans but it becomes easy enough to figure things out. Gabe -- my brother -- bought Ethiriel some books and an audiobook about braille and that's how she learned!"

"I am sure you will be able to find the same for your Raevan if they have sight. Reading-reading cannot be much harder to learn."

"Yeah! I can even help you look, if you want!"

As Ian looked over to Ethiriel, Henry's gaze followed and he smiled. She seemed rather content being with the different flowers--

--though it was bitter sweet for her. She could already smell and feel them dying from being cut from the rest of their stalk, their petals becoming weak and their stems hardening. Ethiriel's mouth was a simple line, though she showed no signs of discontent.

Henry raised a hand to Ian, still smiling. "Oh, we couldn't! I wouldn't mind paying for one!"

Ian waved a hand slightly before crossing his arms easily over his chest. He felt much more relaxed now than he had when Henry and Ethiriel had arrived. Even though he had known they were there to help, and he'd invited them, meeting new people was always a bit stressful. Regular customers were one thing; people he had to see again - and thus make good impressions on - were another entirely.

"Don't worry about it. I insist, since you've gone so far out of your way to help me. I greatly appreciate it." He smiled. "Do you have a favorite flower, Ethiriel? I have some seed packets as well, and you could grow them yourself. If we don't have a starter, that is."

Something about Ethiriel's demeanor, though always polite and friendly, drew his interest. She had seemed in a similar state the last time he'd seen her, and that was quite some time ago. He briefly wondered what could be bothering her, though everyone had bad days here and there. Besides, it wasn't exactly his place to pry, not that he ever would. But still, at least he could try to make her happy this time.

Henry chuckled and shrugged, giving Ian a big smile. "If you insist. Couldn't hurt my house to have a little more green!"

"Your kindness is boundless," Ethiriel said, a gentle smile gracing her lips. "I do not have a particular favorite, but I would not mind growing one from a seedling. Most plants we get are already grown, so it would be a nice project."

"That sounds like a great idea!" Henry exclaimed, beaming at both Ian and Ethiriel. "Maybe once it's grown, we can invite you over for lunch, Ian?"

The Frei nodded, smile still in place. "I would be honored to have you over. Perhaps when your bottle emerges? I would love to meet your Raevan upon birth."

"Another great idea!" the nurse laughed, moving his arms from across his chest to down to his hips, elbows bent. "Our doors are always open to guardians and their Raevans! Let me right down the address for you, if you have paper ready?"

"I would love to meet them, as well."

Still beaming, Henry continued, "If you're having trouble figuring anything out once they grow, I'll still help in any way I can! I'm always there for anyone who needs it!"

Ian chuckled as well, feeling a swell of excitement at the mention of introducing his future frei to Ethiriel and Henry. "Both great ideas, yeah! I'd love to visit you, and especially to introduce you to them once they arrive. I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions then as well!" He quickly found a scrap of wrapping parchment and a pen for Henry to write down their address, and smiled at Ethiriel.

"Great. Well, we have some small daisy seedlings, and some african violets, though they can be a bit temperamental. But if you have anything particular in mind I can find you something." He was glad to see the slight smile on the silver frei's face; she seemed so gloomy, but perhaps she was just shy. He understood that completely. People regularly thought that he was upset about something when he wasn't at work; a perpetually worried expression was often the culprit.

"Sounds like a plan, then! We'll be glad to have you!" Henry smiled, placing his hand on Ian's shoulder again and giving a brief pat. Once the paper was offered, the nurse quickly scrawled his address and a brief set of directions on how to get there -- it wasn't hard, and surely the florist had a phone that could navigate, but it was simply good manners to give an extra hand.

Ethiriel, as Ian's attention returned to her, smiled. She gave a small nod as she found a new set of flowers to observe.

Thinking it over, the Frei let out a small hum in thought. "Perhaps... I would actually enjoy the violets, if it is all the same to you. A challenge, and something to have you look forward to." she said, turning her head to face Ian's general direction. "I think I would like that."

"Oh, absolutely. Here, we have a couple small ones that don't have any blooms yet, they'd have the most potential." He brought a few small pots over to her and held them out for her to touch. After she selected one he put the others aside, happily dismissing another offer of payment from Henry. He'd been entirely happy to have them visit and help him, even briefly, and it was the least he could do. He gave her a quick rundown on how to care for the violets, and a printed version for Henry that he could convert to braille or refresh her on later.

"Well, thank you so much again for coming by. I really appreciate your help! And I look forward to seeing you again, hopefully soon." He laughed softly and saw the pair to the door with a warm smile. Though he was still a bit anxious about the impending challenges of caring for a Raevan, he felt a bit better even just knowing that everyone struggled and worried. He knew that he had quite the support system in the other guardians and Raevans, so that was comforting as well.
