Evren nodded and flipped through the pamphlet as he listened. He didn't expect to need a necromancer, but he hadn't expected to need an exorcist either. So far, this endeavor was full of unexpected experiences. Considering what was at stake, that was probably for the best. "At least I can do a dramatic reading of The Little Engine That Could. It may not be the most marketable skill, but hey, it could come in handy." Which was good, since the chances of him being able to use his actual job skills in his role as a guardian were practically nil.
The idea of capturing a werewolf soul got a laugh and a shudder at the same time. "I'm aiming for a rock. Maybe a metal - the letter said that could work. A plant would be a last resort. But I'll know more about what I'm dealing with once the library's fit for visitors again." Like how it was possible to get consent from an inanimate object. Or how it was possible to give a second chance to something that wasn't really alive.
Fortunately, this wasn't something he needed to decide that day. Or that month. Even if he wasn't going to be the perfect parent - or whatever he was - he was going to find the perfect soul. He owed his future Raevan that much.
"But when I figure it out, I'll let you know. I mean, if that's okay. If I end up with an undead rock, I may need more of your help." He smirked at his own joke, then frowned. "Are there undead rocks? Is that something I should look out for?"
The library couldn't be fixed soon enough.

"I'm fairly sure that Vesna, at least, values dramatic readings of childrens' literature more highly than my skills as a necromancer," Lorenzo assured. "Everybody has different priorities."
Lorenzo could not easily imagine a raevan that was also a rock. He supposed there had been a particularly stony looking raevan at the Spring Viewing last year, but he had assumed that whatever caused the effect had to do with the essence, not the soul. A plant raevan was easier to imagine- and he assumed that something along those lines would very likely end up being the soul donor for Evren's raevan.
"Well, I hope for your sake that you can resolve the issue at the library quickly," he agreed. "I, ah, have never heard of an undead rock, but if you happen to find one, I'll be glad to take a look at it. Here- in case you have any questions, about rocks or otherwise, why don't we exchange numbers?"
He took out his phone, and when he saw the time, he realized that it was very nearly time for his next appointment. All very well, since Evren seemed to be calming down and the conversation was wrapping itself up neatly.

"Well, she's welcome at the Sunday Read-Along. Aside from parents and babysitters, we get the occasional adult, so I'm sure she wouldn't look out of place there." Then again, he had no idea what a Raevan looked like, much less an undead Raevan. But this was Gaia, and Gaia had different definitions of strange and unusual.
Adding "undead rocks" to his mental list of research terms, he nodded and fished a small notebook out of his coat pocket. "I don't have a card, but here's my contact info." He scribbled his cell number and email address in the book, ripped the page out, and passed it across the desk.
"Thanks again for all your help. Not just with the exorcist, but with everything." He still felt silly for panicking in public, but Mr. Fisch had taken his breakdown with grace and offered a ton of helpful information he might not have gotten otherwise. That was worth a blow to his pride. It might even be worth all the fuss with this library ghost, but only time would tell.
