"Oh the gods love to be talked about," Tau chuckled, "They think quite highly of themselves."

"Actually Rhys tigers are night time animals. That's why their eyes glow in the light. Their eyes can see even with only the tiniest bit of light. Much better than human eyes,"
she said as she watched the siblings play.

Sam felt the chill and shivered a bit but made sure her guests found their way out. She chuckled and hugged the woman and gave the two kids a soft pat on the head. "Come by any time, guys. I'll tell you all you want to know about the animals here. And if I don't know, I know who does!"

She waved and closed the gate behind her, walking back towards the Nocturnal House with Tau.

"So Boss, what happened with Hurtz? He was on the mend?" the man walked in stride with her.

"Administration is what happened, Tau. Didn't like the slow pace of his attitude so demanded I put him down."

Tau let out a small curse in Egyptian. He disliked 'managers', felt they were too separated from the animals to really see what was needed. He put a hand on Sam's shoulder. "You alright Boss?"

"Yeah Tau I am. You see," she looked around as she stopped near the entrance, "I didn't exactly.....euthanize him."

"Don't tell me you let him go free?"
Tau raised an eyebrow at her.

"Oh don't be silly, I know he couldn't survive in the wild. No. That girl that was just here, the golden one. She's what is called a Raeven. A combination of an essence and a soul. I was chosen to be the guardian of one so I had to find a soul. So I.....well....."

Tau grinned a little. Reincarnation was a very familiar concept to him given his old beliefs. "So you gave Hurtz a new life. Helped him ascend to a new throne yes?"

She nodded with a smile, knowing Tau would understand. "Yes. I buried his ashes out by my home so he could at least be close to what he once was. So now, I wait. Wait for him to come back in his new form."

"Well, this will be quite interesting. May the gods look after him,"
the man said before they went back into the house to prepare for shutdown.
