Havase didn't have the heart to inform the lioness that Adar was unlikely to care about the existence of these little balls of hellfire, but he would still see to it that the message was passed on. After all, Havase did want to know why on earth it had even happened to begin with and this was as good a way to broach the subject as any!
"I'll be sure to let him know that they are doing well," he reassured her, skirting around the subject of coat colour and his home. Truth be told, that really wasn't something she needed to know about, honestly...It was something no one should have needed to know about. Now that he had seen these cubs, he could at least be sure that she didn't need to know to ensure their safety either; no one and nothing would come for them.
...At least nothing from the Al-Siq anyway.
"Names?" he pondered over this for a few moments and pursed his lips. "Mythos is something we are quite fond of using when we wish to name offspring," Havase offered at last. "My superior, for example, is rather partial to naming his children after moons," he said with a smile.
"I would imagine Adar would be much the same, he and our superior are both from the same region, and mythological names are common for that territory in particular," he explained.

That was good enough for her. Even if he never returned to see his children she was glad that he would - at least - know they existed. It felt important, somehow, that he know that.
She perked up at the talk of naming customs, however, and listened to Havase with interest. It sounded an interesting basis for a name, though she didn't know of any herself. "Are there any names that you can think of? Ones that Adar might approve of? He might not ever meet them or even care but...maybe it would be nice for at least some of the cubs to reflect a little of his heritage."
Maybe it might even mean something to the lion. To know that someone had done something on his behalf without expecting anything in return. If life was - or had - been bad for him, then maybe she could at least try and show that not all people were so cruel. Or maybe he would just scoff and think her stupid - which brought a smile to her face. She could imagine that.

"Despite his duties he isn't partial to the warrens," Havase said slowly, carefully, so as not to give away too much of Adar's identity. "He enjoys the sun," he explained and glanced briefly at the squealing children again. They might not ever meet their father, but perhaps they would be able to achieve a much more relaxing, or at least affectionate life.
"Perhaps name them something that corresponds with the beauty of the world above ground," he suggested and smiled gently. "We have had merchants tell us tales of legends from their lands, referring to a god of death who stole away a beautiful female to live with him as his mate as he was lonely," he chuckled. "She fell in love with him, but in order to make their mother happy, she would leave his realm every six months... It was the manner in which they explained their harvests I believe."
"Her name was Persephone as an example," he pointed out. "Perhaps there are legends in your pride, or in those near by that might have something similar that you might be able to use as inspiration."

"Persephone," she repeated softly, thinking that he had likely heard of far more interesting legends than she ever had. Still, it was enough to go by. Maybe now she could give her children true names, rather than just calling them by their appearances or mischievous antics. "Those are good ideas for names and my brother will be relieved if I finally decide on some. He finds cub-sitting rather stressful when he doesn't know who is who."
Behind her, her son was being tackled to the ground by at least one of the girls - his squeal of protest loud and piercing. She rolled her eyes, laughing quietly, "who knew it'd be the girls who would be the most trouble?"
She took a step back and half-turned towards her cubs before turning back to Havase again, "thank you for speaking with me. Some of my kin can be aggressive to passers by but, for now, most of them stay more central and should give you no trouble. Safe travels." She hoped she would see him again someday.
And, as she turned and walked towards her children she knew that she had at least one name in mind.

"Tell your brother to take inspiration from their father," Havase called after Mawasii as she walked towards her children. "Give them numbers!" he finished with a laugh and with a slight bow, he sought to take his leave. He continued in much the same direction as he had been heading before, though he was sure to remain mindful of the potential for trouble. After all, if not everyone was as pleasant as Mawasii was, then he might have to crack a few heads together to remind them that he wasn't just a pretty face.
That aside, he was rather looking forward to returning to the collective base now - he was going to find a great deal of entertainment into prying into the mind of his friend.
Of all those who could have produced children, he had always been the least likely of them all...
