"I'd think less of you if you did," Hopeite sneered, though never turning back to look at the General. It was only when he had left that she turned back around. Smiling, or rather portraying a poor facsimile of a smile, Hopeite held the jar behind her back and approached the other girl with calculated slowness. Like a predatory circling her pray. Like a vulture spinning dizzying circles while it waited for an animal to die. She crossed hind Harmonia and picked up the back of the chair. Easier than it should have been -- the girl was so light now. Not that she had been particularly heavy before but now... Hopeite ran the back of her hand down a sunken cheek, noting the sharpness of her cheekbones after months of malnourishment.
"You did so well," Hopeite cooed, tucking loose strands of hair behind Harmonia's ears, the jar still hidden. "Of course, if I had known that the General was going to fumble this operation so badly, I would have found someone else. Hopefully he found something, though. You're first step to serving the Negaverse..." There was reverence in Hopeite's voice as she pinched Harmonia's chin between her forefinger.
"Not that I believe in our cause much, mind you," she sighed after a moment. "They say we serve Metallia, but I've never heard from her. And this prissy Queen Laurelite might as well be as make-believe as Metallia for all the good she does us. So I guess, what I mena by serving the Negaverse... is that you're one step closer to serving
me." Another terrible grin flashed across Hopeite's face.
"The more credence you and other that I take to make like you can give me, the higher I can climb. And the higher I can climb, the more I can take Chaos and make it exactly that.
Into Chaos..." Hopeite laughed suddenly, and waved her hand dismissively before her.
"Silly me, going on and on, when you still need your reward!"
Hopeite revealed her jar then, setting the glittering, chiming thing down on Harmonia's lap.
"Open wide, sweetheart."
Hopeite didn't wait for Hamonia to comply. With a strong grip, she forced the young senshi's jaw open and with the other, carefully chose a seed.
"This one might be my favorite," she sighed, holding up a crystal the color of gold. "I've been saving it for a special occasion. Something monumental. Something... well... bigger than this." It dropped back into the jar with a sound like a windchime and Hopeite searched with deft fingers for something she already knew was in there.
"This one, I've been saving for you, though." The seed between her thumb and forefinger wascotton candy pink. The color of Harmonia's hair. She even held it to the ends for comparison.
"I think you'll like it love."
She placed it on Harmonia's tongue almost reverently, with her own jaw hanging slack like a mother mimicking her child as they learn to chew and swallow. She let it sit on Harmonia tongue for a moment longer before she put her free hand on the back of her skull and forced her jaw down on the seed. She listened to it shatter. Listened to it crunch and grind against Harmonia's teeth. Hopeite even went so far as to massage Harmonia's throat to stimulate teh swallow.
When it was all over she placed a gentle kiss on Harmonia's forehead and then left with a musical "sleep well now love."
