Finally the die landed on a good number, even if it was incredibly low, this time a small number was just fine - it was just enough. Three steps were not possible to take, there wer eonly two steps left to take, and than he was stepping up to the others side. He was still glancing to his hands, and the mess they looked like, but he was sure it had to be fake...there was no damn way it was real. That in mind he pressed the hells of his hands to his closed eyelids and rubbed as if he could clear his sight.
"That was something I never want to do again." Groaning as he finally pulledh is hands away. His wrists, and his hands, still burned but they looked normal again. So he was right. He'd talked himself into that since they started this game and it had held true, mostly anyway, he just needed to stop staying and thinking about the sight it had presented to him. It might not have been real but it was, without a doubt, going to feature in some rather troubling dreams for the next few nights at least.
"Welcome to the holiday season..." A bitter laugh from him as he shook his head. "Now we need to get home."
As if some magical words were spoken, and maybe they had been, he was jolted back to Destiny city...as if nothing had ever happened. The die that had been left behind could remain there for all he cared, he did not want that thing, as he found his knees giving out under him as he ploped to the ground. The landing had not been so kind on him, rather rough really.
