I wish there were more girl-girl things...even in live-action there's not a whole lot of lesbian romance, read EVER. All I've seen in humble America was Brokeback Mountain, and that was dudes, and therefore GROSS AS HELL. It seems that we're forced to live with what we've got it seems, in the animation department...

Hmn. Well...I can't say positively whether it is shoujo-ai/yuri, but one of the major series under discussion at the Yuricon list is an anime called Simoun. If you're interested in finding series as they come out and the reviews of them I'd check out their mailing list. The founder of Yuricon's also got an awesome blog where she does reviews and whatnot. It can be found at http://okazu.blogspot.com/Aside from that...well...have you guys checked out webcomics? I know it's not precisely anime/manga, buuuut...there are definately ones that do yuri and shoujo-ai. Definately the yuri on some of them as I don't think Gaia's mods would be happy if I linked them (I don't see why...some of them are amusing as hell.). There are the famous ones like The Lounge, Venus Envy and PAWN. Then there are some newer excellent ones like YuMe, Boobs Ahoy (Can't link that one for obvious reasons, but it's more comedy than anything else.), Red String (Not to be confused with Strings of Fate. It's mostly a hetero-romance, but ...>> I'm not giving it away. I'm also waiting to see what develops out of it.) and last, but not least, is Fur will fly (Brian's been having issues with keeping artists and whatnot...and it's also mostly a hetero-romance, but hellfrost...you find stuff where you can...)

I found one that seems to be Mecha, with a girl/girl romance sort of thrown in. I saw a video of it on youtube, but I really dont know the plot or anything, so yeah. It's called Kannazuki no Miko

I recommend Noir. Sadly Shoujo-ai is not the main theme, but it's got a heck of a good plot, fantastic music and soundtrack, and simply beautiful animation. There's even a tasteful nude kiss scene thrown in for us, whee!
There's a vauge, subtle love triangle between the three main female characters (no main male characters, teehee) that ends quite sadly at the end, but, I'll let you gals find out on your own.
I love this anime and so does my Yuri role-play partener/boyfriend <3

I happened to run across a shoujo-ai manga entitled "The Last Uniform" in a Waldenbooks in a mall. As far as I saw, all of the character were female, and it states on the "back" cover that it is primarily a who-hooks-up-with-whom, "yuri" (that's the word they use)-type story.

There's one anime I liked, Mai Hime, that has a yuri couple. Sadly, you don't get to see them together almost at all until the last few episodes, but the intensity of emotion makes up for it, IMHO.

That was left pretty vague. All you see is the sillhouette of one girl taking off her robe and lying down next to the one who's sleeping. Anything that happened beyond that was left implied. For all we know, nothing else went on. They kind of left it up to the viewers to decide.

I would recommend Revolutionary Girl Utena. It's an adorable anime about this girl who was saved by a prince when she was younger. He gave her his ring, and she was so impressed by him that she wanted to be a prince herself. This girl's name is Utena.
So, she goes to this academy and meets a girl named Anthy, who is something known as the Rose Bride, which is a term for....*blah*
It's very long and complicated to explain. But Anthy's black! (Yay for racial pride. There are less than 2% black people in anime. D: ) And it's a beautiful anime. Full stars. ^_^

I just finished Kashimashi: Girl meets Girl and by finished, I meant I watched the first six eps, then skipped to ep nine and then finished the show
-coughs- I cant really say for sure if it truly counts as yuri as the main char got turned into a girl by aliens...... rolleyes
My(Mai) HiME or My(Mai) Otome/ My(Mai) Otome Zwei (squeal) My(Mai) Otome 0~S.ifr~
With the exception of My Otome 0~S.ifr~ which is a prequel to My Otome, all the shows reuse the chars, they just place them in different rolls. I highly suggest against reading the manga of My HiME, as from what I heard, its not exactly yuri cause all the females go after one male...
Anyways the My_____ animes are pretty much about school girls with powers and their struggles, and theres some pretty apparent subtext between 90% of the females in the shows., plus in My HiME one of the chars clearly clearly clearly clearly is in love with another, and the feelings are, perhaps, as its left up to the viewers, returned ninja
All in all, I recommend all of them, and all eps can be found with some work online for free with out downloading them.

Simoun though liscenced is a shoujo-ai anime.
Strawberry Panic isn't liscenced and also a shoujo-ai anime.
There are others but I don't know them all off the top of my head.
