The young adult lioness padded forward, the cub in her jaws laid lifeless. Only the rise and fall of his sides showed life, she looked weary as she continued to move forward. The scent markings of a male didnt deeter her way from crossing them. Though her ears went on full alert as did her eyes, she scanned around her, then her eyes rested on the cub drapped over her back, they both hadnt been able to last the long journay over the land.
And she didnt know how long they'd been out on their own before she'd came upon them. She sat down now, lowering the cub down between her paws she panted heavily. The lack of water and food had began to get to her as well. Panting she looked around, lifting her nose to the air she gave a sniff or two. She could smell a pair, a male...and a pregant female..her hormones were thick in the air. Twisted licked her maw as she turned to find the other cub laying down panting heavily. It had been hard hunting with the pair following her, but now she knew it'd be easier, they were both tuckered out and almost, well..half dead.
She got up onto all fours once more, picking them up, she walked awakardly to a large boulder, placing them there she glanced around. Licking them both, she made sure to rub her scent over the pair, to another they would appear to be her cubs.
She padded away, moving through the thick grassland, she spotted a injured gazelle whom seemed have have made herself fat as she didnt bother to get up. Lowering down into a stalking postion, Twisted moved forward. Without thought she stepped over lose rocks, and kept her eyes on her prey, close enough to her to smell the blood running down her broken leg, Twisted made a deep throaty growl as she made her running pounce.
The gazelle tried to get up, but only fell back down under the weight of the lioness that clung to her throat, her hind legs kicking into her throat as she her windpipe was closed off, she slowlyed died due to lack of oxygen.
She sat down, panting even heavier now. She glanced around, as she stood back up, she began to tug the kill backwards. The fat little thing weighed more than the lioness dragging her, she finally reunited with the cubs. She licked the sleeping pair. Climbing upon the rock, herself. She licked her maw once more, she lifted her head and began to bellow loudly. Hoping to attrach, atleast the male of this land..hopefully being able to offer a fresh kill, would allow them to join the pair.
Malamis laid limp in her jaws, his eyes closed as he slept on. Trying to save energy that he didnt seem to have any longer. With a faint whimper he laid at her paws, breathing slowly he continued to sleep, not having enough will power to wake himself from his thick sleep.
Padding after the lioness and his friendly brother, Ahti panted heavily.. The sun bore down on his vibrant colored coat, as soon as she came to a stop he fell over onto his side. He didnt even notice as she picked him up, holding Malamis as well, nor could he tell he'd been placed on a rock, and left alone. He too fell into a thick sleep and just laid there at her returning paws.

Shaitani grew silent suddenly, eyes watching out and beyond the cave. "A female...?" With slight trouble he padded out of the cave and stodd at it's mouth, letting a roar ring out from his throat and into the air - someone was on his lands and they hadn't made themselves known. Could she be a predator? He walked to the edge of the forest and looked out over the grasslands, scanning the horaizon for some sign of the lioness. The open air carried the scent of two other lions - cubs, he guessed, from their muttled scents of mixed lions and landscape.

Twisted flicked her ears back at the sudden roar. Could he not hear her bellows? She didnt think it would have been proper for her to roar, it might have come across as disrespectful. With a shrug of her shoulders she lifted her muzzle towards the sky, and let out a returning roar.
She needed help, she begrudingly admited. She couldnt carry both the cubs and drag the prey to him on her own. Lowering her muzzle she nudged the pair. "Wake up small ones. I need you to walk just a little more." She said softly.
Malamis could hear her words, but a thick fog clouded his mind. His eyes opened as he slowly rose to his paws in a zombie like state.
Ahti followed in suit, with a little grunt to jumped down from the boulder and awaited Twisted movement so that he could follow.
Leaping down she smiled at them. " I promise you both a long nap soon." She nuzzled them, they were her family now. Taking the kill by the throat she began to pull it, walking awakardly towards the sound of the roar. Both small male cubs following after her, in their dazed sleep like state.

Shaitani took to a run as best hecould on three legs, his fourth occasionally touching ground, showing signs of healing. The sound of the roar led him to a female dragging a dead gazelle and two cubs by her side. He slowed, twisting his face in disbelief at the trio, looking half-starved and like they had been travelling awhile, "Who are you to tresspass upon my lands?" he asked in a his cool, low voice. It showed no expression, just like he had practiced throughout his entire childhood.

Dropping the throat of her kill, Twisted licked her maw, her mouth was becoming more and more sticky with thick saliva. " I am lone female, who bares the gift of a kill to the king..and his queen." She lowered her head down, in a respectful manner. Her tones held no emotions, as did her eyes, well they couldnt really hide the fatige but she still stood firm. The brute before her scent was thick with the scent of the female, the pair must be a couple, or siblings. Her thoughts hung heavy with her first guess.
Malamis peeked out at the large male lion, fear had awoken him. He'd heard rumors of kings killing young male cubs so that they wouldnt be a threat later in life. His eyes moved to Ahti, they'd never do such a thing. His eyes then moved to Twisted, she'd protected them this far, how much farther would she go?
Ahti couldnt even let the fear wash over him, his small vibrant form just toppled over with exhuaste.
The movement of Ahti had caught her attention, she stepped back towards him. Not disrespecting the male before her by turning to back she continued to keep her gaze on him as her eyes also darted towards the cub, worry glazed over her eyes.

He examined the three before him for a moment. Was he really that scary? His tail brushed the gound with smal strokes, "There's a stream near by - Refresh yourselves and I'll carry your kill to the cave, and come to bring you there.
With a smift movement he lifted the heavy carcass on to his back, sagging slightly under the weight, "You all look exhausted, so you're welcome to stay as long as you please."
He turned from them, leading the way to the small outlet.

Just as she thought the lioness had a hard time trying to find a comfortable position. Kun Yi yawned and glanced around the cavern before lumbering out. She could smell blood...and other lions. Another female. The amethyst eyes narrowed at the thought of her mate being around another female, especially with her in this bloated condition.
Was getting pregnant such a great thing with these hormonal imbalances? The adult sighed and then growled as one of the cubs she carried decided to play tag with her lungs and stomach. "Settle down in there."
The one kicking cub awakened the other and she suddenly had to deal with the both of them. "Argh! Why can't you hurry up abd be born?!"

Twisted bowed her head down to him in respect as he took the kill. Lifting her head back up, she glanced back at the cubs. "Come along now.." She could hear the sound of the water. Turning around she began to make her way towards the stream. Glancing back she smiled as the cubs followed her.
Malamis nudged Ahti to his feet."C'mon.." he said as he padded after Twisted, his golden form seemed more excited to the thought of water.
Ahti grunted as he rose back to his feet, padding after the pair he caught up rather quickly, padding under Twisted. As soon as the water came into sight, he took off in a run towards it. Skidding to hault, he lowered his head and began to lap up the refreashing liquid.
Taking off ater Ahti malamis too, began his freshing drink. He purred with joy and utter delight as his eyes scanned over the waters top.
Coming up behind the pair, Twisted watched the water. It wasnt always safe to just drink from it. Sometimes, that could mean your death. Not seeing any danger, she too lowered her head and took her fill of water. Though her slim figure got a slight pot belly as she filled herself with water. She glanced at the cubs and their fat tummies as well.

Shaitani returned to the cave, smiling at Kun Yi, "We have visitors - They're at the stream... I carried their kill back." He hurried form the cave to join them at the stream. Saying nothing, he sat down and began to clean himself, doing the best he could to get the blood off of his back. With a hidden smile, the king watched the trio, happy that he could be of some help.

Having had her fill, she turned her head and nudged the cubs backwards. "Come now, dont make yourself ill." She growled softly as she began to walk back towards the way they'd come. Lifting her muzzle to the air she beagn to sniff. She was a good tracker, and an eve better hunter. The slim female caught scent of the male once more, turning her muzzle towards the direction of the cave.
Malamis spalshed around for a moment, laughing at Twisted as he fell onto his back. With a small roar/quack he turned around and scrambled after her with a rather large silly grin on his face.
Ahti pawed at her tummy as she walked over him. He too called after her, rolling over he watched Malamis trail after her. Splashin around for a moment, he then too pounced after them. Poucing on Malamis, Ahti rolled around with him for a moment before pouncing at Twisted's tail.
Glancing back, she smiled. " Behave now.." she said softly as she swatted at them with a large paw. She turned and began to make her way towards the cave, she wasnt sure how she'd be greeted by the males Queen.

In the Kings disappearance two little cubs had managed to find their way into the world. The black and red female lay curled between her mothers forelegs, mewing in contentment as she was bathed.
"Shaitani..." The tired female raised her head and smiled. "Say hello to your cubs." She nuzzled the femme, joy shining in purple eyes. "This is Fan Fei Rou..."
Kun Yi gave the red male a loving chuff and lick. "This one has no name yet..."

Shaitani turned to Kun Yi, then, slightly flustered, moved next to her, laying himself down close. "No name, huh?" He took the red male between his forepaws and gently licked the top of his head, "Fan Kai Liu..." he said quietly. He turned to his queen nuzzling her and licking her face once, "They're adorable..."

Kun Yi licked him as well, a rumbling purr filling the large cave. "They are beautiful. And well worth the torture my innards went through." A small smile tempered her grousing.
"Fei Rou and Kai Liu..."
The little black and red cub mewled and pushed her head against her mothers chest. She could sense her brother nearby and another large male form. Her father. The mewl sounded again as she sought out this form with her eyes.

Shaitani chuckled at his mate, "And you're all right? Nothing feels out of the ordinary?" His purring filled the cave as well, a deep sound that came from deep with-in.
Kai Liu snuggled deep into his father's mane, so much so that he lost all vision of his mother. He still sensed that she was there... With somecat else. A sister? He let out a quiet mew as he weakly attempted to paw his way out of his father's heavy mane, but to no avail - he was much too weak to move much of the hair.
