i'm a big fan of the illustrations in the last one, and the fourth one. (the fourth one, cause you just can't beat dave mckean! i need to get the hardcover so bad!)

i don't remember being too impressed by the others, especially song of sussanah which seemed to me like someone trying to be like mckean, but failing.

Personally, I don't like illustrations in books, so I read the paperbacks from Signet.

i think what they mean by the illustrations in the drawing of the three being scary, is that, they are. like the ways in which some of the characters are portrayed in them.
like the one portrait of roland in their, he looks like a grinning lunatic. 0_o
i do like the pictures of the lobstrocity and the scene at balthazar's place. ^^

but it doesnt make sense!!! Roland never grinned like that in The Drawing! not only that, but it's probably the most un-Roland thing you could think of him doing.

I've only seen the Illustration's in Drawing of the Three. Some of them were good, But just the way that it looked... Bleh. It's like the Artist tried to make the pictures look real, but then Smudged the paper.

ya, the new versions of the illustrations in The Drawing are the worst. they look horrible. "bleh" is the perfect word.

in one pic, eddie is pushing Sussanah, who's hands are folded oddly and her head is forward and cocked to the side while her teeth are bared. she looks like she has some sort of mental condition. I was just thinkin "God, she's just in a wheelchair . . . "

one illustration I actually did like very much was the one from The Wastelands whichs depicts The Dark Tower in Eddie's dream. I found it to follow the book's own description more closely than the pictures usually do. It's a great image.

I agree and i love the illustrations in number one and number seven.

in the first book that picture of roland holding two somking guns with a line of bodys where he walked. excellent.

I think some of the ones in The Wolves Of The Calla are pretty good. I'm about to finish that one.

I'm not sure but I think it was one in The Waste Lands that i really didn't like. It was the part where Eddie was up a tree running from Shardik and Susannah was on Roland's shoulders with the gun. I hated that picture for some reason. I just hated it. neutral

I find that they act as spoilers. I cant help but to flick through and look at them all. The same as with autobiographies and such like. X
