((I've finally gotten about to posting this...))

Gaia Name: Xiaoxing
IC Name: Osaka Xiaoxing
Do you promise to follow the code?: Of course.
Have you read all of the history and opening posts?: Yes... and it took me quite a while.
What will you contribute to the Order?: Why, my expertise and flexibility of the Dark Side, of course! ^^
What is your favorite Force Ability?: Force Lightning. Definetly.
Have you read the Anti-Munch Project and Raven's Roleplay Model?: Many times over, thank you very much,
A brief History of your character: Xiaoxing was born into a well-off family on Corellia, she lived with her older brothers for the majority of her childhood. It was a family of mechanics; they ran a well-known spaceport and worked with the best of the business trade. Osaka was no exception, as she adapted to the situations well. However, after a mechanical failure left her in shambles, she was sent to a recouperation facility on Coruscant. It was there that she met Alan, a middle-aged man who recognized her Force potential. He took her in, explaining to her the history of the Jedi. Xiaoxing embraced the idea of doing something other than shipwork all day long, and eagerly followed Alan around the Galaxy. She learned of her heritage as a surviving Sith. However, with this knowledge came an onslaught of mental pain, as if the Sith Lords themselves had laid the ressurection of the Dark Side upon her. She vowed to bring back the Dark Side after a vision from Darth Bane. She traveled for a long time before coming across a Dark Jedi academy. However, she was a weak trainee, although she had been hand-picked as an apprentice. At the urging of the Jedi, she turned to the Light Side, where she learned even more about the Force. However, she never felt quite right, and sometimes downright hypocritical. Still, at the back of her mind, her vow to Darth Vane tugged at her memory. She eventually turned back to the Dark Side, several times stronger. Her reptuation spread throuought the galaxy. Xiao still dreams of the Dark Side coming back to life, but she knows now that she must take the process one step at a time. Patience might be a virtue of the Light Jedi, but Xiao knows that in order to utilize her time, patience is the key.
A brief Example of your character engaging a practice droid. You may assume you have some control of the Force, but realize you will start with very little control IC.: Xiao walked down a deserted hallway, her feet making a faint tapping sound on the floor. Her arms were crossed in an anti-social position, giving the impression to everyone around her of a self-assured, assertive woman. Her eyes straight foreward, she barely noticed the presence of an IG-88 replica stand beside her. At the familiar click of machinery, she made a ninety-degree turn to her right, and stared straight into the droid's metallic face. She was startled, nearly losing her militaristic bearing, but was smart enough to bring up her hold-out blaster. She held it steadily at the droid, waiting for it to make the first move. Her composure had returned, and her eyes were narrowed dangerously, silently daring the droid to move. Eventually, however, the droid's arm fell back to its side, leaving Xiao in her defensive position. She re-holstered her blaster, glaring at everyone who stared in her direction. It wasn't her fault that the landscaping droids looked so imposing.

1. What would you do for ultimate power? The Dark Side is dependent on the search for power no matter the consequences...what are you willing to sacrifice? Xiao is willing to sacrifice everything-- save, perhaps, her brothers. But it's this protectiveness that fuels her desire to rule supreme.

2. Do you believe in manipulation as a necessary Force Skill? Of course. Without manipulation, the exploitation of violence would be used so commonly, it'd lose its overall effect over the citizens.

3. Do you believe in emotion as a catalyst to Force use? Of course. Emotion is what fuels the Force, raising it to higher levels of power. Without emotion, the Force is dead.

Gaia Name: Merlaighn

IC Name: Anala Shannai Jovari

Do you promise to follow the code?: With all that I am and all the will that I have.

Have you read all of the history and opening posts?: Yes.

What will you contribute to the Order?: I shall give of my abilities, my strengths, and my willingness to fight the Dark side of the force and maintain peace within myself and spread that peace within all whom I shall train.

What is your favorite Force Ability?: Healing.

Have you read the Anti-Munch Project and Raven's Roleplay Model?: I’ve read the Anti-Munch, which was highly amusing, but the second link is dead so I couldn't peek at it.

A brief History of your character:

Born on Chandrila twenty years ago, Anala was the daughter of a surgeon and a mechanic, both of whom had Jedi ancestry, but never dreamed they would have produced a highly Force sensitive child. Anala excelled in her schooling, showing a high level of interest in both medicine and mechanics as both parents taught her almost everything they could. When she was five, she was sensed by Jedi Master Olan (who was on leave from Dackktan at the time) and brought to Dackktan for training in the Force as her parents were convinced she would do better with the resources the Temple had to offer. She grew up strong, learning voraciously until she was ten when the Temple fell to the Dark Jedi.

It was Master Olan’s sacrifice that sent her hurtling into the stars, safe from the massacre that took the lives of so many of her fellow initiates. Seeing those who were deemed friends turn against one another in a quest for power saddened her, turning the once happy, cheerful child into a cool, solemn one who searched for peace and to continue her training. She drifted for ten years, moving from world to world and Master to Master before finally settling on Coruscant to train at the newly established Temple where she hoped to claim her status as a Jedi Knight and, in due time, Master.

A brief Example of your character engaging a practice droid. You may assume you have some control of the Force, but realize you will start with very little control IC.:

Anala frowned into the night lit by explosive flashes of sabre against sabre, shrugging off the cold as best as she could. It felt as if every drop of sweat has frozen to her body and yet she was still hunted by a lone droid amid the shouts and cries of battle. The hum of her lightsabre crackled as she moved delicately with the grace that spoke of long arduous hours of practice and training, her body as wary of her surrounding as her mind was in tune with them.

A clatter and a soft whizz snapped her around as the droid came out of seemingly nowhere. She deflected the first two blasts, but the stun-bolt caught her on her good arm as she whirled away. The lightsabre went spinning, skittering across the timeworn flagstones that had belonged to kings and conquerors countless ages ago. Drawing a shaky breath, she stared hard at her weapon, gathering the Force as she pulled the sabre back to her. Somewhat awkwardly, she activated it and sliced the legs from under the advancing battledroid with her injured arm as far from more damage as possible.

Still firing at her, it toppled, stun bolts stabbing into her left leg and again into her right arm even as she flicked the lightsabre's tip through its neck. Anala hissed, dragging herself back as the head fell into her lap, the eyes flickering a few times before dimming.

Close. That had been much too close.

The young Jedi padawan clutched her lightsabre in her left hand and scowled as she heard the stomp of more droids coming. One bad day coming right up, she thought with a soft curse as she kicked the head away and watched it bounce across the stones like a child's playtoy.
