X3R0N3 I don't get it. Why make banners if it's invite only. It's contradictory. Do we really want to seem like elitists with banners to a guild only those in-the-know can join? It's semi-retarded to have banners. We sure could use more avatar art and things that represent the inwardness of the guild. Like group pictures! Things that unify from within and other profound statements. Why not have banners? IMHO it doesn't seem elitiest to me to have them. Besides, being invite only for now helps control the influx of newbs Gaia has now. Having banners would also allow us to make those invite PM's really pop. As I know that I never really look at the PM before clicking the "decline" option. I would take more time to see what the guild is about if there was a banner or some better description. Then again, that's just me. I think in the long run, banners will help us out in getting people back to the CBB-Reloaded. And recruiting newer Gaians that are just here to have a good time and not act all noobish all the time.

Well, would you put one in your sig to advertise?

X3R0N3 Well, would you put one in your sig to advertise? Actually, I would. Sure, it's a private guild and invite only, but it doesn't hurt to advertise it. I've seen people inquire about guilds or other groups that they see in other people's sigs. And it helps if there are still oldies out there who have no clue it's being revived; they see it in a sig and inquire about it.

Do we really have or don't have a banner for it's usefullness? I mean shouldn't we just have a banner becouse we want to? Or should we just calculate every single little move this guild makes depending on what others "might" think?
That is just my thought on the subject

Isn't a banner something like a flag? It's what represents us, not what we want it to do or whatever. I mean, look at your own national flag. Make the comparison. Why would people put little flags of their country on jackets, why would you wave your national flag around at the world cup of soccer? Why oh why? It's not as if you want to advertise for your country, it's just to show people where you're from and that you love it. You can't immigrate that easily these days anymore as well. So saying that it's contradictionairy or whatever, is just bullcrap if you look at the national flag issue.
Why do we want to have a banner? I'd say, it's just to show people where we're from, what we stand for. Not if it's an invite to our little place we call our home.
I'd love to have a banner for in my sig, just to show people where I've got my roots, and how I still love the people there. It means something. It's not just useful. It means something to me.
NOW, HIT ME WITH THAT DAMN BANNER.

I think it's ridiculous that a few people are editing other guildees posts. I'm not talking about Hobbit editing my post, that was necessary since I was away, I'm talking about other members posts that I've seen being edited by owners and mods. If you have a different view on something, make a post yourself in their thread, don't edit their first post with what you have to say. It's kind of rude and annoying. Thanks
