A brief moment of dizziness as he found himself attempting to adjust to the sudden change of surroundings. It was odd .. one moment it seemed as if he was one place, and then the other ..
The red-haired lordling shook his head, blinking once as he found where he was to be familiar; perhaps he had just been imagining things. After all, the times as of late had been far from unstressful, and events would be more than enough to unsettle anyone.
"Hm ..." He mumbled in a soft, rather softspoken tone, rising to his feet with a quick brush of a paw against his clothes. Reaching down, he grabbed hold of the rapier, making certain to resheathe it in its proper place before edging out of the small tent-like structure.
Sunlight assaulted him, nearly blinding him for a moment before he turned his head to the side, eyes shut tight against the unexpected brightness.
Then he heard it; an all too familiar voice, and his head whipped up as he looked around for the source.
".. Hector?" Hesitant at first, for reasons unknown to him, before Eliwood found himself breaking into a light jog to where it'd come from, "Hector!"

His ear twitched. Who the hell was calling him, in the middle of a battlefield where they could possibly get attacked?! Did people NEVER learn: he would have to punish the idiot that-
- and then his jaw dropped.
Running towards him, red hair streaming in the wind, cloak trailing behind him, sunlight dazzling their light eyes was the vision of loveliness, the most bea-
- it occured to some other part of Hector's brain that perhaps such things were not to be shared. The greater part of his brain concurred and gave a disgrunted glower at the poetic part of his brain. That poetic part of the brain promptly withered away and was never heard (or seen) from in Hector's brain again.
"El...Eliwood!" Hector finally spluttered, now that his brain was actually functional. "What are you- why-" he struggled to make coherent sentences, "WHERE THE BLOODY HECK WERE YOU!?!?"

Skidding to a halt, the red-haired audio just gave a small smile upwards, bangs settling back into place as he tilted his head.
"I .. I don't know, really .. I think I've been here all this time, though .." He frowned a little, before shaking his head, just glad to see the other, "I'm sorry, Hector. Last thing I meant to do was worry you."
Once again, a smile graced his face, this one a bit bigger than the one before.

"If you've been here all this time, why didn't you go look for me?!?!" Hector all but bellowed the statement out, his concern only making his voice sound gruffer. "And to think all this time I sent out all those messengers, none of them returned with any word of your safety." He paused. "Come to think of it, none of them returned period."
That taught Hector to trust those stupid pegasus knights.
"Well.. I guess its fine, as long as you're okay." He couldn't stay overtly-grumpy at Eliwoods too-innocent face anyway, and he flicked a stray strand of Eliwood's hair away from the other lord's eyes, face softening. "I'm just glad I found you."

Eliwood found himself unable to keep from blushing a little; it seemed as though the taller one was the only one who was able to make him do such. It all led him to believe that there was something about the other .. something that made him worry moreso than usual that he might've upset him, or something that made him get flustered over some of his actions and words.
Something ..
"I'm sorry." He repeated, voice softer than before, and his head turned, even as he placed a lightly feathered kiss against Hector's hand. Blue eyes turned to look up at the white and blue-furred face, and his tail gave an idle swish, "The last thing I ever meant - wanted - to do was worry you."

He could literally feel the blood rising to his ears as Eliwood pressed his lips against his gloved (damn, why did he have to glove his hands?!?) hand, ever the elegant, polite lord. How he wished... for... for something, it was a wierd thrill and yet an ache at the same time, but he just wasn't sure what it was. It just felt good to have the other in his line of sight; a part of his reasoned that this was because he didn't want Eliwood getting into any (further) danger.
"I know Eliwood, but you're a LORD," he emphasized the last word, "and therefore trouble finds you. Its always good to have some form of protection around, just in case." His tail twitched slightly as he gazed into the other's eyes, breaking contact quickly, looking away, blush even darker on his face. "Just... dont forget we're always around to back you up."

Blinking once, the smile remained, even as Eliwood lifted a paw, tracing its tips gently along Hector's cheek.
"You're blushing." He murmured, ".. I don't think I've ever seen you blush before."

"I...IM NOT BLUSHING!" he bellowed, perhaps a bit too loudly in denial. "Its.. its just really hot, with all the armour, and me having to look for you with all this blasted stuff on."
He shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts, some of them which were being lead perhaps a bit down the wrong path. "I swear they only make me wear this stuff to laugh at me, not mention how stupid I must look in it."
