Group arpee!, started on page 127 Raven insisted on coming to the play I was supposed to attend, just about demanding that I carry her and that bloody pot along. Which I did. Dunno how she gets me into these things. But, of course, everything owned by me is broken or is in the process of becoming broken. This doesn't exclude the clock.
So, I missed the play and met two-- well, four, counting the Edens -- wonderful people, Feather and Jadaria; both guardians. S'pose that's what we're called, eh?
Anyway. Alexander can fly, which made Raven insanely jealous 'cause she can't get out of that flowerpot. I can't really blame her, though... must stink.
Oh, and Kajika drinks. A lot. Kinda surpasses the 9 servings of water a day limit. But he seemed to like tea, which.. is surprising. Not shocking, just.. surprising. Which makes no sense but, bear with me.
She snapped her book shut, feeling satisfied. Throwing the book haphazardly onto her desk, Bird jumped into bed and snuggled under the covers, wishing insanely she had one of those clap-on clap-off lights, before manually turning off the lamp; Raven didn't seem to mind the lack of light.
"G'night, Rave," Bird mumbled sleepily, turning over. Raven shined again, giving a wiggle, before retiring as well.

As you look at the leaf the next time it appeals to you that it's slowly changing colours. Sometimes it seems ocean blue and a few minutes later it's pretty normal again. It moves swiftly like it's stroked by a gently wind and moves it's top in a waving manner.

Bird hummed, raiding the fridge again. It had been a pretty slow day; never seemed to end. She turned, shutting the cold confinement with her foot and cracking open the aluminum can she held, taking a sip gratefully.
A flash of blue caught her eye.
Confused, Bird tilted her head and furrowed her brow, cautiously entering the room with light steps.
But there was nothing out of the ordinary. Just... couch, window, some dirty dishes that needed to seriously be cleaned (Bird winced), and Raven.
The leaf shuddered, flicking the top of itself in a nonexistant breeze.
Bird blinked, setting down her soda. She moved closer to Raven, who was changing color once again. "... Are.. you feeling well?" she asked tentatively, slowly reaching out to touch the orange pot ith her fingertips.
It was much warmer than usual. Flattening her hand on it, Bird lifted up the other to try and reestablish whatever sense of thought Raven had, cupping her fingers around the leaf, too afraid and wary to touch it.

"Come on, Alexander! You might not know it, but MAN it's cold out here!"
A small leaf suddenly zoomed into view, then plopped itself down on the girl who had previously spoken's head. She smiled immediately, and looked down at the basket she was carrying. She had folded the blanket which covered it's contents just right so that what it contained could be seen, even if only slightly. A note sat on top of the blanket, too. It read:
Letter Dear Raven and Bird, We were strolling through the minishops today, and Alexander saw to it by poking me persistantly that I buy this little plushie for the two of you! My head is still throbbing, but you know, it's all good. cool Hope you enjoy! ~ <3 White Feather and Alexander
Upon unravelling the blanket further, a clear image of the plushie would be found:

"Let's go!" Feather set the basket down at Bird's doorstep, and without another word, dissapeared down the road and out of sight.
((Feel free to 'find' the basket after Raven grows, or whatever. <33 ))

Out of sudden a strange blue light grows brighter around the leaf and it's wiggling appears like a desperate struggle to get out of the flowerpot. The whole orange one is shaking like mad and the leaf tries to do everything possible to get out of it's residence.

The orange pot gave a sudden lurch, jolting Bird away where she promptly lost her balance and fell to the floor, blinking stupidly. She didn't know what to do, seeing her wiggle so much like that, and she was fearful to lay a finger on Raven in case damage was inflicted instead of assistance.
"... Raven?" Bird tried, cautiously getting to her knees and crawling closer to the shaking table. The flowerpot seemed to vibrate, and it sashayed over to the side, tumbling off the surface.
Bird made a flying leap to catch Raven and her runaway pot, completely knocking over the table in the process. But she had caught it at an angle... Her belly facing the floor, she watched as the dirt cascaded out from the innards of the ceramics and Raven's leaf pop free of the soil with extremely wide eyes.

As the leaf pops out it hovers above the floor for a single second before going on with performing several stunts in the air. It's glow grows more intense and after a few seconds it's so bright that it's impossible to look at it.
The glow disappears as something hits the ground with a sudden noise. Instead of the leaf a young girl sits on the ground and stares at Bird.

If not for the amazing human anatomy, Bird's jaw surely would've hit the ground. She stared at the child. The child stared back, blinking expecting eyes at her.
"... Uhm. Holy hell," Bird tangled her fingers in her frazzled hair, trying to grasp information.
The child tried to imitate her, using vocal chords that were, obviously, a bit rusty, seeing as they'd never been used before. "'Ou.. ouuy 'ew!" she chirped, looking pleased.
"No no no! Not good!" immediately heading over to the blue-haired wonder, Bird wiggled her hands, looking for words. "Don't.. don't say stuff like that."
An accusing look.
"... Well... when you're older, perhaps you can-- sometimes," she defended. "But-- you're changing the subject. And where on Earth's Raven?"
The child, who had been looking around at familiar sights she had never been able to see before, turned to Bird in immediate attention when her name had been called. Bird's look turned flabberghasted again.
"You... you're Rave?" A nod.
Bird squealed. "Oh-migosh! You're a kiddo! Lookit' your hair! And-- and you have feathers? Jeez... lucky... And-- goodness me, you must be hungry." She leapt to her feet, twirling to the kitchen, talking a mile a minute. "Ima' fix you something up right here and now--"
She was interrupted by a whine. Raven was holding her small hands out expectantly. She wore a stubborn look.
After Bird had retrived the small child, it was smooth sailings from there.

Wednesday, April 20th. I... I think the thing she likes most about her new... what d'you call it. Form? Yes, form'll work. Anyway, she loves seeing things. Constantly staring out the window whenever she gets the chance and everything.
Raven was watching the sun catcher hanging on the glass throw colors onto the floor, transfixed. She squished the teddy bear she had found in Bird's closet-- snooping where she wasn't supposed to, Bird thought -- and the chicken plushie from Raven leaned against her other side. Most of the time her tumb was lodged in her mouth, except, of course, when a particular color-- she was fascinated with red and blue -- shone through.
Bird grinned, sitting comfortably on the couch. She went back to writing.
And that teddy bear-- jeez. I'd forgotten about Nana. She's been through some tough times, but, Raven seems to love her. She's also loving that plushie Feather sent over-- gotta return the favor.
Raven squealed suddenly as a rainbow formed on the floor, clapping her hands and bouncing in the seat. Small hands grabbed Nana, the teddy bear, and the chicken-- she had yet to name it -- and waved them in an ark above her head. Bird shook her own, smile still plastered on her face.

Thursday, April 21st. I don't suppose whomever is reading this has ever awakened to find that something so precious to you, almost like the sweet sweet thing we call oxygen, is suddenly snatched from your grip like-- like eyeballs being sucked from your sockets. I have lived through one such tale, and I shall recite it in simple words:
I ran out of tea. Horrifying experience.
Raven was banging a wooden spoon-- they had made lemonade with it earlier and, hence, it tasted pretty good --on some randomly selected pots and pans. She was having a jolly good time, too, thumb stuck in her mouth and teddy tucked under one arm.
Anyway. That was my dilemma for the day; gotta love drama. But, seriously, I don't think even Romeo and Juliet could compare with no tea. Was there even tea in that play? Memory eludes me.
Moving on: we (Raven and I) met Feather again at the HQ-- gotta love that place. Kitchen.. stock full of tea... --and discovered the planted Alexander. That'd be fun to take care of.
I''m sort of curious why Raven was so quiet as a leaf; still is now, really. Babbles when she wants to, sure, but... naw, I'm just worrying.
Bird shut the book, not bothering for a meticulous placment for it as she just plopped it on the table and let it fall wherever it pleased. Raven was yawning now, ensamble abandoned for arms reaching toward Bird instead.
She picked her up with a grunt, holding Raven securely with one arm, before flicking off the lights and returning to the bedroom.

Friday, April 22nd. Raven, still looking extremely smug from her errand, sat on the couch where she was sucking her thumb diligently. Nana, the teddy bear, was leaning against her side. The chicken plushie wasn't far from her, too.
A large bang echoed through the small house, followed by an "Ow!". Something had screwed with the pipes, and Bird, upon inspecting her pockets, found moths instead of money. So, she had no one to fix it but herself.
Raven, though equipped with the mind of a child, understood that it was a bad idea.
The young woman tromped into the main living area, grease stains smeared everywhere on her body and a bit of soot to boot. She wiped her forhead with the back of her arm, smudging the dirty stains even more, before turning to her bedroom to change.
"Bloody water softner... why does it need.. twitterpated crap in it, anyway?"
Raven, who had blinked after her adoptive mother, quirked her lips in amusement, returning to the art of sucking one's thumb. She felt the day was quite well spent, as she had delivered a favored toy to Alexander, whom she pitied. Raven understood scarce words, but the large orange flowerpot was still in Bird's possession (she planned to plant flowers in it when the weather stopped having mood swings), and one point and word in its direction served its intended purpose.
She sighed happily, snuggling further into the comfortable couch cushion, and settled into a nap. Tomorrow Mama had promised to take her to the park... She slept with that comforting thought.

Group arpee, started on page 204. So, we went to the park, where Raven had a grand old time chasing the caterpillars and such. She's fascinated with bugs and, especially, worms; she even kinda ate one today.
.. Blech.
The leaves, freshly sprouted from their confinements with the coming of Spring, whispered quietly to one another as the two passed. The flowers seemed to curve their petals towards them. The sun shone down a solitary beam upon their passing forms.
Raven squealed excitedly, bouncing on Bird's shoulders in glee. Everything was so pretty! She couldn't stop craning her neck every which way it could possibly turn, trying to tkae in everything at once.
Bird, chuckling quietly, hefted the giggling girl off her shoulders and placed her on the ground, shooing her off to go explore, which Raven did readily, walking, but not quite succeeding, off...
... Where she promptly found the worm. It's all she ate. She refused to manhandle in any way a ladybug; I think it's 'cause the colors dazzled her eyes again.
But, the worm is to be expected. She's got the soul of a bird, so... I won't say anymore.
After the park (we picked some flowers-- they look mighty fine on the table, if I don't say so myself), I stopped by some stores to pick up food and clothes for the munchkin, as well as some tea to restock the HQ. I felt badly for drinking pretty much the rest of it. Anyway, Raven and I met Feather and Jadaria, as well as Kajika and Alexander, and got to know them better. T'was much fun, until I had to split to babysit those bloody kids nextdoor.
Raven gave Nana to Alexander for the night, too. I was... kinda surprised. She doesn't let anyone else touch it, except me.. on special occassions, of course. Anyway; we'll probably have to swing by their house tomorrow to pick her up. She looks quite contented with the chicken plushie they gave her, though, so, she should be fine.
And Kaji taught her how to hop; she's doing it constantly now. And she's always falling on her face and getting her clothes dirty. Ah well. Such is the life of a child.

Jadaria skipped up to the residence, checked the address written on her hand, then nodded happily. Yes, this was the place! She set a black and red box onto the porch, whistling softly. It was messily wrapped, and scribbled on slightly, but... well, it served its purpose. Attached to the box... Hey, hey! I was going through some old collectibles the other day and came across these. I didn't want to give Kaji ALL of them... so I'm giving a few away to his friends. I hope Raven likes the one I picked out for her! Oh, Kaji picked out the second one... He likes Raven! I hope they can get together and play, soon! Inside the box:

Monday, April 25th. Raven was absoloutely delighted with the package that came today. She hasn't taken her eyes off of the three plushies that the various people have given her, and she hasn't complained once about the absence of Nana. I'm worried she'll start soon, though. I swear, little kids have more mood swings than teenagers.
Oo-- scary thought. But we'll burn that bridge when we get there.
Not much has been happening, and Rave hasn't eaten more worms, thank the higher powers at be. When we were out getting more fruit (she eats it like she hasn't been nourished in a week), Rave spotted these multi-colored cups and refused to leave with at least one, which she had clamped in her small hand.
So, now, I have another two glasses-- a line green with pirple polka dots, and a rainbow --in my cupboard. Raven is.. quite amusing.

Group arpee!, started on page 225 Raven twirled, balanced on one foot, on the newly polished floor that Bird had scrubbed on earlier that day. She stretched out her arms as far as they would go, enjoying the breeze that ruffled the growing feathers.
But she eventually collapsed, and giggled on the floor again. Bird watched, exasperated, on the bed, book placed in her lap and pen squeezed between two fingers.
"What am I gonna do about you?"
Raven chirped in response.
Well, events of the day. Bird turned to her book and began to write. Raven and I went to the HQ again-- she's trying so hard to walk --and saw an unusual sight. Alexander grew up! Raven was so surprised, and, of course, extatic. He returned Nana to her and they played a bit.
We also met Teagan, but... unfortunately, we couldn't spend much time with him and Ul. He seemed to frighten the two with his tail... and the broken glass too, I s'pose.
Bird shut the book with a snap, throwing it across the room to the couch. She heafted herself up, gently picked up the snoozing Raven from the pillow she had collapsed on, and brought her to lay on the pillow next to her.
"... Ima' need to get you your own room one of these days... Better start planning 'bout that soon," she yawned.
