I didn't see the movie, but my teacher has and he said it was alright for a sap of a movie story-line. sweatdrop It's also not possible for blood to be mixed into the varnish. After like, a week, it would've turned black from just the weird oxidizing effect.

Maybe he used magic ninja I must take a "rare" moment to brag (rare, yeah right). I have a copy of The Red Violin soundtrack that I personally got autographed by Joshua Bell. He is a really nice guy. I feel bad for him though because he has a lot of teenage-girl fans that "love" him.

I noticed that... it's his own fault, though; he submits to being photographed in such a way where he is seen as a sex symbol. Good violinist, though, and I do wish I had the chance to meet him.

I first saw it when I was 11. I would much rather have seen it with the sex scenes edited out. *shudders*

I really liked this movie, but Samuel Jackson ruined it for me. I just couldn't see him as a violin expert... And yes, the auction ending irked me as well.

Yeah, I saw it. Great movie. I just wish that there had actually been a part about the Gypsy fiddler. I think that easily could have been the best part.

Yes, more than just the music. However, I think it would have been difficult to do without going indepth on it.

I love this movie. I just think it was cool how it went from an auction scene to a part of the violin's journey, and back to an auction scene, and on to another part of the violin's journey. It was wonderfully made. biggrin

the one thing I HATED about the movie, though, is that it was SO OBVIOUS that the people weren't really playing the instrument. Their fingers weren't even in the right place to play the notes for Christ's sake. I still thought it was a great movie, though

The Red Violin was a pretty good movie even with gross parts. I watched this
movie in Orchestra when I was in Middle school. Thankfully my teacher (my
favorite teacher!! 4laugh ) skipped those parts so that we didn't need to see
it. whee

I've seen the movie twice. I don't like him, I think it's to much of the same.
