Eletric would be cool to play, but I hate the electric strings that are nothing but a stick and a chinrest and one shoulder. It doesn't even resemble a violin. I would much rather having an eletric that looks like an actual violin.

They do make violins that resemble accoustic violins. You can get them in any color, or just as wood. I'd rather have a funky looking thing, though.
I'm actually considering buying something off of Ebay. My brother says to trust it...but I don't now. Probably not a smart thing. Maybe I'll just go with a Shar model. They run at under $600, where Yamahas are over $1,000. The ones that caught my interest on Ebay were about $200.
