Kalile Alako Heh. My story is quite funny, actually. At least to me. My high school has four levels of orchestra, first being the lowest and fourth the highest. Our third orchestra, not to brag, is a little above the level of most high schools' top orchestras, and our fourth orchestra is sublime. I'm in third. After a mix up in schedules, I got transferred into an english class with this guy, also called "J". J is a dork. Seriously, he's got the geeky blonde hair, the glasses, wears turtlenecks and argyle shirts... the whole nine yards. I absolutely adored him the second I saw him, and although he hardly ever talks, he said something really intelligent in a class discussion that proved my first impression right. That day we had a rehearsal after school, as we were playing "Unforgiven" at open house. V4 violins were instructed to come up to the front to lead the class. And there was J! I almost dropped my bow. Later I found out that he's the concert master of V4. Basically, the best violinist in the state. He's extremely shy, and I'm... not. I've tried talking to him a few times, and I scare him to death. Seriously, he edges away whenever I talk to him. And I can't get away from him; because we're in the same major he's usually wherever I am. I've literally run him over about six times. biggrin I told him I thought he was "really neat" once... stressed Seriously, the whole situation is hilarious. That...is too cute.... whee I hope you win him over (instead of run, lol)!

Isilmeriel Nice orchestra!!!!!! I wanna go to your school now whee Move to Las Vegas! We need more people to come to our school anyway; too many drama majors, not enough art and orchestra majors. Cookiin That...is too cute.... I hope you win him over (instead of run, lol)! Heh. Me too. It's especially funny because I'm short, and he's really tall. So I turn around and run into his chest. *biff* It's getting to the point where I recognize him by the shirts he wears. blaugh

I wish I was as outgoing as some of you razz
There's this really cute cellist at my school that I just found out exists! She doesn't play in any of the school orchestras, only in the highest GTCYS orchestra (which I'm not in gonk ). So the chorus teacher asked me if I could play in one of their concerts, because there was this cello/violin thing in the middle of one of their songs. It was pretty easy music, so I didn't really rehearse it with the chorus until I got to the concert. So I see this cellist that I've never seen before getting her cello out for the concert. Apparently she's a year younger than me, which explains why I don't have any classes with her at all. I talked to her a little after the concert, you know, considering I'd never met her before, and there was something about her... I had to run off to another rehearsal, but as I was leaving, I noticed she was still watching me, and our eyes met for a few seconds. Anyways, if I'm feeling mischeivous enough I might go and ask her to prom. I don't really have anyone else in mind razz

awww! everyone's story is so cute. well mind didnt end too well.
ive been in orchestra since 3rd grade, so i was very familiar with this one kid who was a year older, greg. he was (and still is) a cellist and i only knew him because of his sister, ashley X3 she and i were goodgood friends back in the day. so lets fast foward to last year..
soooo last year. we had some classes together. he was a senior and i was a junior. for some odd reason, as goofy and stupid as he was, i started to feel some weird feelings when i was around him. it was then that i realized that i was developing a crush on him, and it was just weird. since i had known him for allllllllll these years. we were just real good buds at the time.
soo to skip a lot of drama, i told him one day when we went out to visit old orchestra teachers in a university some 40 minutes away. he was kinda shocked, but he too said he liked me! so ya think, 'ah cool! i got lucky'. rofl. soooo skip to the next day, he calls me while i working on some art and tells me "nevermind, i like this other girl" and i knew the other girl. her and i were very good buds. so im like "skhdakdhkasda" and was reallyreally upset.
he saw that and called me everyday afterschool just to talk. then he ended up liking me again, and i was like "AJSDHKJASDHA" so i said "okay, 2nd chance. last. chance." he agreed and we went out for 2 months. we fought a lot during the last couple weeks and he used some metaphors on me as a breakup line. "i have too much on my plate" well i didnt realize that was his breakup line, so i thought we were still going out. 2 weeks later (after returning from a school trip to texas!), he calls me and asks "why havent you told anyone that we've broken up!?"
wellllll jeeeeeeeeeez. i didnt know.
so i didnt talk to him for 9 months.
just last month i messaged him, actually. for the first time. he was surprised. im over it, so its not worth throwing that WHOLE friendship away.
but yeah, i dated a cellist. an idiot cellist. the end x_x;

you guys are lucky, most of you have played in orchestras where you know people. I'm the only senior in my orchestra, and I knew no one. Not much chance of a romance either- there's only 2 guys in my orchestra, and neither one are very . . . well, not for me

Seanna I started out with the people in my orchestra in fourth grade, and we're all in tenth now, so we (which is really like five of us) were all pretty tight. But then last year our only two cellos, both of wich I've known since third grade, moved away within like a month of each other. It completely changed the dynamic of the whole orchestra plus, it was pretty rough. Orchestra was always like a big family, I feel like I lost two brothers. right...that was random, but you get the point, knowing people is good. wow...i know how u feel like orchestra is like a big family biggrin

Now that would be funny.
Actually, I did finally ask him out... he said "I don't know. We'll see," which is the nice way of saying "heck no, go away!" and we spent the last two weeks of school studiously avoiding eachother. I was talking to someone near the door of my english class, and I happened to look up as he walked in. The person I was talking to looked at me funny because I turned my head away so fast while she was in the middle of a sentence, and J tripped because he was looking at his feet and didn't see a desk. rolleyes That was pretty embarrassing... never been turned down by a nerd before... sweatdrop

It's the geeks that you have to work for, anyway. mrgreen

Well... I've had 1 crush, and 1 near romance. I had a crush on the same guy for 3 years. I told this other kid i liked him after about a year... but he called me every name under the sun because he didn't like the fact every girl he was friends with had a crush on him at some point. But what could we say... he was HOT! (He still is, I just don't like him that way anymore). But! I'm still friends with the "hot" guy.
