Umm.. think think think... we could have a bumping contest!!!
Something like...
"First to make it to "Insert # here" Gets "Insert amount here"
And so on and so forth...
We COULD use more Minishops in the bank, though.

True, the more minishops, the better 3nodding
As for the contests, you guys have to keep in mind that even though we're mods/captains, we don't have overwhelming amounts of gold or items that we're necessarily willing to give away. I've said before that I'm willing to pitch a bit of gold into whatever we decide but I'm not made of money. I think that having a contest with a reward would bring in lots of participants and that everyone would want to win something but that something has got to come from somewhere, right?
I'm fine with a bumping contest, I'm cool with the idea of raffles and questionares that garner a reward but then we should have a plot of money that everyone contributes to so we can give stuff away for "free". I'm also sensitive to the fact that a lot of people here are new/don't have a lot to give and that's fine but remember that just because I'm wearing horns of the demon and a ninja headband doesn't mean that I'm ready to buy someone a kitsune mask somply because it's what they're questing for and they answered some trivia.
I'm not saying that the ideas are bad, I like all the idea's that are being presented here, they have a great potential, I'm just trying to be logical with the hypothetical downsides to the plans. So I'm not upset with anyone, I'm not chastising you, I'm not saying no to anything, I'm just ensureing that we think everything through before we bring this decision to rest at Kajikage's feet.
Having said that, I think that a bumping contest would be great, but it would have to be on a huge scale, like whomever has the most in 50 pages, or something, y'know?

I don't really think a bumping contest is fair because whoever see's it first will get a head start, and what if someone was on vacation, it wouldn't exactly be fair you know...just saying though.

That's a good point. But it would encourage people to check the guild more often, now wouldn't it? twisted We're just in the establishing stage so I'm not saying no to anything.

I think the Fangirls need their own sunforum to adore Neji so the aren't always butting in on real conversations saying "OMG Neji's so cool!!" I cant stand that. scream

ummmm dude? Have you not noticed that this is a fanguild devote to him? The whole point of the guild is to talk about and swoon over Neji. Arguably, I can see your point, mindless praise gets on my nerves too and I've tried to turn it into intelligent conversation, it works better then you'd think. I suggest you try to do the same.

White__Shadow I think the Fangirls need their own sunforum to adore Neji so the aren't always butting in on real conversations saying "OMG Neji's so cool!!" I cant stand that. scream Yeah... that's exactly what I said earlier on page 1... A Neji-worshipping subforum, since everyone loves Neji sooooooooooooo much. stare It's way too annoying. I mean, you don't have to love and swoon over Neji to join this guild, you just have to be a fan. It's called a fan-guild, not a fangirls-guild. mrgreen

I know that the fangirliness is pretty rampant, but there are places that aren't all about senseless worship. Not only that but there is plenty of intelligent conversation to be had if you introduce it. If you want to talk about something that isn't Neji related then I invite you to start the thread of your own accord in the Chatterbox subforum, that's what it's there for.

I like the idea of the bumping contest! I like it a lot. But I think a monthly raffle would sound good, as well. Simply because then we can all use the month to save up our money to pitch in to the "Jackpot" And use our left-over money to buy our tickets, right? I think it's a pretty good idea. And besides, I'm fairly certain that people will buy quite a few tickets, so placing the price of the ticket at about 150-200g makes a bit of sense, right?
Okay, I'll use an example, We have 200 tickets to sell. We sell each ticket at 200g. 200x200=((whoa.... this is really crazy))40K!!! That's a jackpot if I ever heard of one!!!
And for safe-keeping, I can use my mule-account to store the prize money until the time is right!!!
Good? Bad?

hmmm, that is a good idea, although I don't think that there are enough people around here in order to make that much worth it. I think that if the guild activity were to speed up then we'd have a better chance at having it work out.

--is probably the most active out of the MEMBERS!!! And such--
Yes... Really active members gain a prize...
But one problem.. The guild Captain and Vice-Captain are not made of money... ((and Crew... yes... them too)) They all LOOK like thay have lots... but a lot is hard work... and donations... But I guess we could work something out about that... *nods*

Prizes for being an active member doesn't sound very decent to me. I'd like to think that people are active because they want to be active, NOT because they think that they're going to get a freebie out of it, not to mention the fact that there will be people who are going around making bullshit posts just so they can boost their count. I'm all for prizes for fun things and I'm fine with using one of my mules to have a prize account...but not for being active, that just seems wrong to me. Sorry.
