The cartoon has ended for good, but they are making movies of it.
This is not a rumor, it's true.

Professor comes on the big screen: "Everyone, come into my room for a private exhibition."
*they go into his room*
Professor: "Now, everyone, climb into bed with me."
*they climb in and the bed curtains are pulled around them*
Professor: "Feast your eyes on this!"
*everyone gasps*
Leela: "It's beautiful!"
Amy: "It's huge!"
Fry: "Can I touch it?"
Ahaha! How do you kow this?
That and Adult Swim typed it out on screen.

My sister said that they are just making another season not a movie.
I'm confuzzled.

The fourth season was the last season.
I know 'cause I own all four seasons on dvd.
If there were going to be a fifth season they would've already started playing new episodes of it on Adult Swim.
Watch Adult Swim or go online and look it up.
There are going to be movies.
But they ended the show a year or two ago.
