xxredstarxx yeah, some songs might be Now, when you say that...don't you mean 'most'? stare I may not hear cutting, but I heard the girls and suicide and breaking up 95% of the time I ever hear emo. But at the same time, it seems like that kind of thing is what defines emo.

Emo, it seems to me, has developed [whether rightfully or not] the image of being full of angst. Angst, drama and woe. It just...the teenage hormones kind of music. And I, for the general most part, do not like that kind of thing. [wow...it is really hard to think with beavis and butthead going on in the background.]

Jimmy Eat World are one of my favourite bands 3nodding
and to set the record straight, must people when they hear emo seem to think of all the hundreds of post-hardcore/screamo bands in America at the moment. Not all Emo is like that

dorKeE helloco Emo´s cool not my fav music style but deffinetly in the top 5 i really like Franz Ferdinand. Got the cd and saw them live on pukkelpop Belgium. Yeah, Franz Ferdinand are indie I think. But, who cares? I like them! smile

Emo isn't about cutting yourself or breaking up with girlfriends, its just a genre of music that has become popular all of a sudden because of bands such as Fall Out Boy and Taking Back Sunday (Whom I don't consider to be all that emo... neutral And along with the sudden outburst of the emo scene came haters and normal sterotypes. Its all a part of the teenage war to be 'different'.
