 His question answered, Charlie honestly had no earthly idea what to do next. He'd never kissed anyone before and he wanted this to be perfect for Tangel. So let his emotions, his feelings for her, guide him.
He slowly curled the paw that had been wrapped around her shoulders to cup the back of her head as he leaned close, pressing his lips ever so gently to hers as his eyes closed. She was so soft, so wonderful, so lovely. He thought he would never get enough of her.

She purred and noted just how easy it was... and so... wonderful! She thought that all her butterflies had fluttered away by him just being there, but now the rest of them had fluttered off just from the touch of his lips to hers.
She couldn't feel the ground beneath her feet anymore, even though she knew it was there... the only thing that truly existed in her world now was him. And nothing... not even a tornado, hurricane, tsunami, or earthquake could take him out of said world.

Charlie slowly broke the kiss, but only for a moment. As soon as he parted, he wanted to kiss her again and so he gave in. This one was albeit a little more forceful than the first. It had been her purr that had goaded him on. His paw idly stroked the back of her head and his tail curled around her back.
He broke that kiss as well, much slower this time, and look down into her eyes. He didn't know what had come over him and he hoped she wasn't upset with him.

Tangel purred deeply, then blushed faintly with the first parting. Just him an her... like this... alone... It was all so perfect...
She let a soft gasp escape her as he brought her in for the second and more forcecul kiss, although she quickly melted into this one too. When they parted, she blushed wildly with that same warming smile. A wash of embarressment flooded her, but only for a second before she gazed back into his own eyes with affection. There was no doubt about it. In her mind... he was the one for her...

"Tangel... I..." Charlie began and looked deep into her eyes. Someone once said that the eyes were the window to the soul, and through them you could see the depth of a person's emotions. Well, if that was the case, then Charlie was probably one of the luckiest males alive. He rubbed his thumb over her cheek, carressing the blush that brightened the white fur on her face.
"I'd been trying to figure something out for a while now. And, honestly, I'm still rather... unsure of myself, I guess. But... I'm willing to put myself out in the open," he whispered as his paw rested against her cheek.
"I think I love you, Tangel."

Tangel, felt her blush deepen as her eyes widened. Did he...?
Within a flash, she flung her arms around his middle, ear pressing against his chest, more or less expecting to hear an 'oomph' from the impact. The silent 'I think I love you too...' escaping through the action. She couldn't help but smile, for she felt the same. Everyone else back at home made sure to tease her about it, but she didn't care... What they said was probably true!
She never knew what love felt like, but if this was it, she wouldn't dare deny it... Not that she ever did... Love was indeed something to cherish... and she would always cherish Charlie...

The air left Charlie in a rush and he fell back, having to bace himself with one paw so that they didn't topple over. The other arm wrapped protectively around Tangel's back. He looked down at her, surprised and extremely happy at the same time. Oh, he understood that action well enough. He smiled and hugged her close, pressing his muzzle to the top of her head.
"I'll take that as a good reaction," his chuckle rippled in his chest as he said this.

Tangel only nodded, still clinging to him. "I think I love you too, Charlie..." she half whispered then lifted her head only to look up into his eyes. His green pools were deep warm and inviting. She felt as if she could get lost in those eyes and blushed upon realizing that she was staring.

Charlie smiled down at her.
"I'm glad," he whispered as his eyes held hers. He finally knew why Merlin was so happy all the time, and why Reesh was touchy on the subject. Love was a releasing feeling, indeed.
"Your blushes are so cute, Tangel. Did you know that?" he asked, tilting his head slightly to one side.

Blushing a bit more, she purred and smiled. "No... but thank you..." she smiled then moved to rest her head upon his chest.
