Rahu was glad for the change of subject and for an odd reason he just followed her as she started forward. hearing her words almost gave him comfert but he shook that away in his usual fasion but maybe in the future he will remeber that she was right. " your the first to dare to try this with me. and if your so curious to know, im more anti social and enjoy a good run." it was odd to that his anger was now almost completly gone as he walked beside her.

She was pleased that he followed her. She hadn't been entirely sure he would. He seemed so fiercely set on being independant... like a gangling foal multiplied several times over. Every rebellious foal, though, prospers and flourishes with the careful nurturing of a wise parent. This was the role she took upon herself. But more than that, she wanted to be a reliable friend to the lonely stallion. Sweet he might not be, but he was no monster.
At his words of being anti-social with his preference of running, she rolled one eye his direction with great amusement. "So a good run is anti-social, is it? Let's just see about that." And with that cryptic statement, she bolted off across the meadow. Her hooves flew over the uneven ground as easily as if it were a well-packed trail. Age had it's advantages, and learning the terrain and every trick there was to speed her way across the countryside were hers to employ. Not only that, but she was finding that maturity had brought with it an astonishing ability for speed.
She tossed her head gaily and laughed over her shoulder at him, light-heartedly daring him to catch up to her. He wouldn't find doing so particularly easy, but then nothing worth accomplishing was easily done. Like winning the trust of a young stallion with hurt buried deep in his heart.

Rahu tossed his head in a bit of amusment at her bolting off on him and basicly challening him to a run a smirk came across his face and he bolted right after her. ofcourse he wouldn't let such a challege go and slide like that as he did have that pride in himself. he was built for speed and his muscles showed he ran alot. ofcourse his trust was never earned very easyly and any who came across him that could see that. not going full out just yet, he stayed just a bit behind her but not far.

With a loud neigh of a laugh, Delphia darted suddenly, plunging into the shadows beneath the trees. She dodged trunks and leapt low brush. This did slow her a bit, but her muscles had become powerful, and her joy at the rush of speed leant her a merriness that made every step an expression of gladness.
Charging up next to a very large, very old tree, she dug in, pivoting on a single hind hoof and sending herself barreling back the way she had come. This took her right by the stallion as he held back. With another teasing neigh, she nipped him on the shoulder very lightly and ran back the way she had come. This boy needed to learn to play! "Tag, you're it!" she called back to him, her short mane rippling in the wind of her passing. Her hooves churned up the soft forest floor before she again burst out into the meadow near the hill she had been on when she first noticed him passing.

Rahu was not surprised when she had came back out from the trees and came right next to him. he blinked in surpised as she said tag to him, as it seemed she purpose;y was geting him to play. tossing his head he plowed his hoofs in and pushed his muscles to the max now to get her. " not for long." he replyed right back at her with a smirk still on his face. now following her every move, he was going to get her back.

She lashed her striped tail as she ran, kicking up her heels in mid-stride like a foal. Up the hillside she charged, throwing up grass-clods which careened back at the black soquili racing after her. She knew he would catch her eventually. That was the whole point to the game, wasn't it? And he had chosen to play. It warmed her heart and made her want to sing... if a soquili could sing, that is.
This distracting side-though caused a miscalculation, and instead of the graceful leap off the top of the hill that she hand intended to make, she tripped on a dirt clod that perhaps she herself had dislodged when she had stood there before. The result was her inability to catch herself as her momentum took her over the crest of the hill and dragged her down the other side. After a few faltering steps in an attempt to regain her balance, her nose planted firmly into the grass and she rolled twice over, landing with a grunt on the gentle downhill slope.
She took one deep breath, laying still, then groaned and rocked herself up to sit, legs tucked close. Grass was caught in her mane and her nose was now a pale green instead of a pale grey. She snorted out a few times, sending spatters of damp dirt spraying back into the grass where it belonged. With a groan she muttered to herself, "I'm getting too old to roll like that and bounce right back."

Rahu ignored the grass clods and jsut kep going and was about to catch her we he saw her trip and fall. shaking his head, he slowed a bit to keep him from tripping at all but was quick to go see if she was alright. " that may be but are you alright?" he stood by her with his head tilted to the side, lookign her over to see if she might have seriously gotten herself hurt from that trip.

She carefully stretched her head and neck out to their full length and winced at the pain. Her neck had taken a beating and it felt like something was out of place slightly. Still, it could have been worse, she supposed. With another groan she shifted her weight and placed each forehoof in front of her in preperation for lunging to her feet. As she did so, one shoulder lit up as if on fire.
Gritting her teeth she went ahead with climbing to her feet and stood for a moment, blowing and letting her body settle back into it's accustomed state. Yes, she was definitely getting to old to be taking falls like that while playing. After a few moments of measured breathing, she glanced up to give Rahu a warm smile. "Yes, I think I'm alright, aside from a few bumps and a strained shoulder." Her expression turned sheepish and she gave him a wry smile. "Mind if we assume you won the game of tag and go find a drink instead?" She stuck out her tongue comically. "All I can taste is dirt, and it isn't nearly as nice as grass, I can tell you." She tossed her head carefully, noitng the twinge in her mid-neck, and snorted wetly, sending muddy snot to her left and right.

Rahu gave a nod and watched her carefully incase she did need help. " im sure dirt does not taste good at all and sure its fine by me."he made sure to stay clear of the muddy snot she trew to the left then right. " next time though be more careful." tossign his mane, he knew where to get a drink adn started off in the direct of the water but made sure she followed.

She followed the young stallion placidly, only a faint limp and the scattered bits of grass all over her body proof of her fall. The rest of her body language was open and amiable. Inwardly she smiled. She could tell she was succeeding, for he had been concerned for her. She was reasonably certain that just a bit ago, when they'd first met, he probably would have laughed if an older mare like herself had fallen in front of him.
Small steps, she thought to herself with a smile. She walked slowly and swung her tail as she meandered after Rahu. For now she was quite content.

Rahu gave a light snort as they now came to the stream of running water. giving a toss of his mane he walked to the water edge then looked over at Delphia giving a momtion with his head that it was fine to come over. ofcourse earlyer he most likey would have snickered if she had fell infront of him. giving a flick of his tail , he then looked over at the water a moment.
