I know it's not proper history, but Kingston by Starlight is a great novel about the life of Anne Bonney. And of course it includes Mary Read, Jack Rackham, and the story of their trial. It was very well written, too. I'd recommend it.

Grog is a delicious alcoholic mix greatly loved by pirates. I do believe it involves both rum and water?

I actually think there's a splash of lemonade in it too. I'd have to double check. Anyways, I love the dread pirate Roberts XD but what about Henry Morgan? If I remember correctly he got a privateering liscence from the English to fight the Spanish and actually tried taking Panama.
