Be that as it may, a lot of quality RP can only be delivered in large portions.

Not always. You could have six paragraphs full of empty, useless adjectives and two that are short, sweet and to the point. Which would you say is better? Besides, it's not always about what is said in the posts. The most important thing should be if someone's actually good at RPing. THat is, can they take ideas and move the story along, and come up with their own as well? Do they keep the RP fun and interesting? This is just me, but I think that's a better requirement than how few spelling errors they make or how long their posts are.

It was that usually, to get ideas for your characters across, you must post in more than five words.

I'm trying to remember when I first came up with Neo. Oh yeah, about 2 years ago, I was trying to create a board game, and me and my friends were coming up with different characters and stuff. Then he had his characters fuse, then I did, too. Then that's when I Neo was born. Ever since I've been trying to come up with a good background story for him, so I've used him in different RPs to come up with something.
Woah, that was a little off topic. sweatdrop
I guess I can fix it by saying, me and Neo are completely different, ah that didnt help.

I made Nordia on the spot, adding to her character as I go along.
When I make a character, it's like finding a cave in my mind. You don't know how deep they are or how many twists and turns they have. The only way to find out is to explore(roleplay) them. You know what they are made of, their basic composition, and that gives you some ground. But their character may chane drastically if you venture too deep, or if an explosion(RP event) shakes them badly. See, I never make my character do anything they would not do, unless I'm not taking it seriously((Rarely, I put my soul into whatever I write.)) and its for the sake of humor... but I usually use my stupid characters for that type of thing...
But I'm ranting, I apologize. The sense of character making takes up most of my mind, leaving little room for anything else, like common sense.

I have thousands of them ^___^ Their in my head, I can come up with a concept and then build off of it, make them elaborate and then there you are! ^___^ The only thing my characters usually have in common is that they usually die in the end ^___^ They die and never get a girl ^____^

A good way to create new ones was just mentioned by Ryu, by combining them.
But, the fun of it leaves when you have all these characters running around in your head... and they won't leave. o.o...
