Fatima al-Faqadi
I'm not gonna lie, I teared up when the last one flew. That was one amazing piece of machinery. I can't even tell you how long that airplane has been my favorite. When I was little I would daydream about it. I always wanted to fly one, and that was infact what I was going to try for out of the academy, not that it would have mattered now if I had stayed. Its gone, all gone, every last one dismantled, or at least carefully modified for display (aka any important piece gone and carefully destoryed and cataloged). I know it was getting out dated and out performed, but I loved it none-the-less, it really did have spirit.
I think I'm also gonna miss those patches worn only by the Tomcat pilots with that really cool motto, "Anytime, baby!". No other kind of fighter jet has its own patch that comes even remotely close to being that cool! gonk
