One of Rude's brows raised over the edge of his sunglasses before he looked at Reno. "The Boss isnt going to be happy if you picked up another stray."
"Oh Come on now." Reno completely ignored the other Audio who as slinking around the edges. He didnt look like any fun. So instead he walked over and draped an arm over Demyx's shoulders. "At least this one's better than that tramp i picked up last weekend. By the way, I'm Reno, muscles over here is Rude"
He grunted again and shook his head. "Boss should be done in a few. He wont like it if you've been out here having fun while you weren't supose to be"

 "Stray?"
Demyx blinked at them both in confusion, wondering just what they meant by that term. He fidgeted slightly as Reno suddenly draped an arm over his shoulders, but for the moment he made no attempt to get away.
"He's not supposed to have fun? Why?"
The sitarist glanced back at Kaleb, wishing he'd come join the conversation faster, before focusing his attention back on Rude.

Kaleb caught sight of Demyx's fidgeting, and simply had to interpret his friend's glance as discomfort. Taking another deep breath, he stepped off the sidewalk and walked over to join the other Audio.
Of course he still had both of their safety in mind, and would be ready on a moment's notice to cast a protective shield spell.

"Cause I never get my paperwork done when the Boss wants it. Dont see what the problem is, i get it done before the deadline." What he failed to mention is that usually involved him staying long after hours on the last day possible to turn in the reports and hours of bitching from him.
"The problem is that i want them when i want them, not when you wish to give them to me." The blond's smooth voice slid over them as he walked out of the building. For the 'work' they had been doing upstairs the Boss looked as perfect as he had when he had gotten dressed that morning.
Tseng was a few steps behind Rufus as he was straightning the collar of his jacket. His gaze fell on the car before it moved to Kaleb and Demyx.

"Paperwork? That sounds rather bor---"
Statement cut off by Rufus and Tseng's return, Demyx's bright green gaze shifted to them.
"Hiya!"
Completely unaware of the respect he should be treating these guys with, Demyx slid away from Reno and bounded right over to Rufus. It was only a second later that he had poked Rufus harmlessly (or so he thought), on the arm.
"oOooo white...it looks nice!"

Kaleb felt something sink in his stomach as Demyx began applying his friendly attention to the Audio in the white suit. This wasn't good, it would be difficult to protect his friend if things turned sour.
He only hoped the Audio Demyx had poked had a friendly demeanor.

Reno looked up at Rude as Rufus and Tseng exited the building. If Rufus said anything at least Rude might put up a little for him.
Rufus' brow raised as Demyx poked him. That was a new one. Usually people took one look at him and thoes who followed him and decided to walk on the other side of the street.
Tseng's hand reached out and he caught Demyx's wrist before the blond was able to pull it back. "Did no one ever teach you not to talk to strangers?" His fingers tightened around Demyx's wrist as he spoke. No one touched Rufus without permission and the black coated one had not been given permission.

Hrm, another silent moment when a question was asked. These guys were weird...or they just didn't like questions.
Thoughts were cut off as Tseng's hand wrapped around his wrist.
"Huh? Erm.....no?...."
Okay, finally the hint was getting through that maybe this wasn't such a good idea. Ears flattening against his head, Demyx wiggled the fingers of his trapped paw, but made no effort to yank it away from Tseng. That'd only make matters worse.

Before he could think twice, Kaleb took a quick step forward to touch Demyx's other arm in a reassuring gesture, and used the contact to weave a protective spell around him. The musician might have felt it settle around him, but Kaleb didn't look for a response. Instead he looked up to watch the Audio who had taken hold of Demyx's wrist, which was a ridiculously bold move for the shy kid.
He only realized that he had placed himself in a dangerous situation when his legs started shaking.

His brow raised as he felt the spell settle around the two and part of his arm. He knew a shield spell when he felt one since Rufus had a fondness for them when he was dealing with people that regulary had materia around.
"That wont be nessissary." There wasn no need for the spell, besides since he could easily reach though it it wouldnt be hard to stick his gun in their faces if they tried anything.
He only noticed the spell because of the distortion in the air around Tseng's wrist. So one of them was a magic user and since the jumpier of the two had come over just as the spell reacted then that ment that he was the one.
He brushed his arm where the cloth had been wrinkled because of Demyx's finger and smiled at the two. "Now now Tseng. They did no harm, you can let the poor thing go"

Demyx blinked in confusion as he felt the spell settle around him. Unlike Tseng, he wasn't used to such spells. The closest he had ever come was using his water to fend off attacks. Still confused, Demyx glanced first at Kaleb, then Tseng, and then Rufus himself.
"I'm...er....sorry?"
Demyx grinned nervously, still wiggling the fingers of his trapped paw. Hopefully his 'captor' would listen and release his wrist soon.

Kaleb flinched a bit when the Audio holding Demyx's wrist spoke, and his nerves didn't settle down in the slightest when the one in the white suit smiled and spoke politely. He would feel better when Demyx had his paw back.
The mage tried not to look frightened as he waited for the dark haired Audio to respond and let go of his friend, but he could feel himself trembling a bit, and one ear twitched ever so slightly.

Hearing Rufus' voice he let go of Demyx's paw and pulled his hand out of the sphere of the spell. He straightened up and took his place back at Rufus side.
He'd watched the scene from his place leaning against Rude and had to laugh. If the kid though a simple shield spell would keep the four of them out had they really wanted to hurt them then he was an idiot, or maybe he just hadn't heard of Rufus yet.
He shot Reno a glare for his laughter before his attention returned to Demyx and Kaleb.
"Reno did not accoust the two of you did he?" He had told Reno to behave and if he'd been messing with the strange two then he would not like the consiquences.

Happy his paw was free, the sitarist quickly pulled it back and rubbed at his wrist a bit. Satisfied that he was fine, Demyx turned his gaze back to Rufus.
"Nu uh, we were just talking about the car."
Green eyes flicked to the shiny car a moment before looking back to Rufus innocently.

Kaleb relaxed significantly, letting out a breath he hadn't realized he had been holding. He still jumped a bit when Reno laughed though, and shot a frightened glance towards the redhead. It sounded like someone was being underestimated, and the mage hoped very much it was him and not the other way around.
He turned back and shook his head in response to Rufus's question, although it was a bit quicker than he would have liked.
