He shook his head, looking down at the lake. "Just any details on what duties you have as a champion. Anything about that "Project" rumor..."

She sat down, took her sandals off, and put her feet in the water. "Thats actually a reason why Ive been skipping. Ive been trying to find about it, but the councils being really hush hush about all of it. I was thinkig about sneaking into a meeting, hiding in an air duct or something. Wanna come?"

Morgan sighed, knowing wether or not he decided to come, Lunel would go ahead and go anyway. It probably wouldn't matter, either, how much he attempted to dissuade her. So, he was stuck between letting her go and probably letting her get caught, or going along in a foolish attempt at stealth. Rock and a hard place. Joy. Morgan cast a sidelong glance at Lunel.
"When and where? The next council meeting's tonight, but you can't possibly expect...security will be airtight."

She shook her head and grinned madly. "The sewers." She stood up and brushed herself off. "We enter a few blocks away, and go through the tunnels, then enter through the boiler room, and then go into the air ducts from there. Ive got all the plans in my room."

Morgan sighed outwardly once more, knowing this girl was putting him to more trouble than she was worth. But, well, it was a friend. Morgan wasn't the type to let a friend get into trouble. He knew very well had it been Maynard, James, or Lyn (all much more responsible than Lunel, so it was entirely hypothetical), he'd have accompanied them as well, simply to protect them.
"Fine. You're crazy, y'know. I'll go, but at the first sign of trouble, we're splitting. Both of us."

She waved a hand at him, and grinned inwardly. "Sure sure, wouldnt wanna get one of the academy's star pupils in trouble."

Morgan sat down next to her at the water's edge and crossed his legs before staring up at the sky. As always, it was a pale blue, with fluffy white clouds dotting it wherever them seemed to want to. A picture-perfect sky.
"I'm only one of the star pupils becasue the staff's afraid of my mother," he replied, "My grades in everything but combat training are average to good, not excellent. I certainly don't deserve a valedictorian consideration."

She snorted, and looked at him. "How in the Hell do you think I made it into the Champion Program? Sure, my academics are good, but I have one of the worst combat grades in the class. Its all about who you know here. Thats one of the reasons I cant stand it."

"Mhm."
With that, Morgan allowed himself to collapse back onto the soft bed of grass and slipped his hands, fingers entwined, under his head to serve as a pillow.
"Maynard was telling me he's going to decline his invitation. He's opting to join the officer's training program, instead. James and Lyndis said they can't tell me what they're planning to do. My mother's been training me for clan headship, and you're headed off to be a Champion. Seems everyone's going their own way."

"Yea... hard to believe...we've all been together for so long, itll be weird not seeing everyone anymore. Although out of all of us, Im probably the least suited to becoming a Champion." She sighed and stared out at the lake. "I give them six months before they kick me out."
