Dunkballz Typyro (( hey no offense or nuthin but how can you not know how to romance rp? you never had a gf or flirted wit a girl before?)) OOC:ACtually, yes. Five^^ Now... Thomas was new in the neighborhood. He had been expelled from his last college, but only for one month, and had to go back after that time was over. He lived at a friends house, together with his friends parents and older brother. Right now they were all pretty busy, they had invited to a neighborhood barbeque, and they had set up tables and chairs in the park. Thomas had said yes to join them, and had helped them move out the .))tables. The clock turned half past six, and the first guests started coming. They expected to be about 50 people all in all, but had extra chairs and places if more people showed up. At seven o'clock, almost all the seats were filled, and Thomas was trying to light the barbeque grills.

Actually, Elf, I was thinking that we don't have to have the characters so advanced so that we can work with their past. In other words, I needn't know of his character's past as he doesn't need to know of my character's past. We'll figure it out as we go, as the characters go along in their life.
Or that is my idea....

((Well, what I meant was not for the other character's benefit, but so that the other person can get a better idea of their life, etc... Your character wouldn't find out about it until in a dialogue....As in how a name is said, but not used until there. It is for the reader's benefit.))

As time passed, the guests started arriving. Thomas got the job of crossing off a list of the people who had arrived. At the end, everyone but a certain Mellisa Brown.
Thomas went into the kitchen and handed his friend, who was busy tossing salad, the sheet. "Everyone's arrived except for Mellisa Brown. Who is that anyway?" Thomas asked. "That's a neighbour just down the street. You'll know who she is. She's always late, by the way, so she'll be here. Just fashionably late." he smiled and went back to tossing the salad.

The brunette arrives at the picnic, her hair in a mess as she's been running.
She smiles to the people that are there already, introducing herself kindly: "Hello, I'm Melissa Brown. I just moved in a bit ago. Sorry I'm late."
I was thinking more of a potluck dinner - people bringing some food as they come. Also, I'd think that there wouldn't be a list of people coming. If there was, Melissa would not be on the list as she was just handed an invite.

The woman turns to the man who had just come up to her. Shaking his hand, she smiles softly.
"Hello. Yes, I'm new to the neighborhood, moving in this morning," she says, "I'm Melissa Brown. Nice to meet you. ...and you are?"

Melissa smiles, turning to a nearby person.
"Hello there," she says.
The lady, whom Melissa had turned to, turns around. She is an older lady, about forty years old.
"Hello, dear."
Melissa asks, "Do you know about that man over there?"
The lady nods, "Yes, he is my son's friend. ...and single, for that's what you wanted to know, right?"
The woman blushes, turning away. Yes, that was what she wanted to know.

As the gathering of people sat down to eat, his friends mother (>.<) stood up and tried to get the attention. It was one of those regular speeches, welcome, blablabla, hope you enjoy, blablabla, we have to new people here, blablabla, and suddenly everybody started clapping. Sebastian looked up, and noticed everybody was looking at him. After a while he figured he'd probably been mentioned, and now he had to say something.
He stood up and nodded, before stuttering himself to his name. "I... I'm Sebastian. I'm staying with this beautiful family for a month for... private reasons. Hope to get to know you all." he said, smiled and sat back down. He looked around the table to look at all the people, and rested his eyes for a while on the girl that had been a little late, before concentrating on his beef again. Delicious beef. Yum.

The brunette finishes her food before seeing some kids playing nearby. She throws the paper plate and plastic silverware away, then goes over to the kids. The kids are playing with a frisbee.
"Hello there," she says before asking, "Can I play with you guys?"

Sebastian caught the frisbee, and looked over at the brunette. "Sure." he said, and threw the frisbee over to her.
"We're playing teams. Don't let the other team, those two there, catch the frisbee, or the roles will switch."

Dunk, I thought you'd know this by now but: Don't suddenly move your character. Let the character finish the action he is doing (eating) before moving to the next action (playing frisbee).
The woman catches the frisbee saying, "I never was very good at playing team games like this, but I'll give it a shot."
She notices one of the people from the other team rushing towards her and she moves away, trying to get a good shot to throw the frisbee to the man on her team. Finally, a window opens and she is able to throw the frisbee to him, which she does.
