Unfortunately there is no way around it. Practicing has everything to do with priorities. Right now summer camps and such are your priority, and violin is being shoved quite low on the scale. The only way to remedy that is to make it your priority. Unfortunately, if you can't find a way to do that... it never was a top priority.
This tidbit is from a lecture I witnessed from Mary West unto a ten year old who was trying to find time around soccer to play violin. He claimed violin was really important to him, but Mary West point out the flaws in his statement.
It is not meant to offend, simply meant to make you think.
Remember, summer is the time to either get ahead or fall behind.
