EVERYTHING is more expensive here than in America, if you want cheap, stay where you are. As for shopping in London, I wouldn't pick that as my shopping city personally, everything is too spread out and far away from each other. If I wanted a shopping city, I would go to Birmingham, shopping capital of Europe. It's our second largest city and has far more easily accessible shopping than London. Pity its a total dump.

I hear from my American... uh "relatives" that stuff, here, in Eastern Europe is considerably cheaper - they scurry over here every single summer, relax in the local resorts and buy all sorts of cheap things!
So if you want shopping, cheap shopping to be precise, scurry over here aswell, to Estonia!

Ok, that is it then, I am putting Estonia on the agenda. smile
But for London, it's much more than just the shopping. It's the British Museum and it's the Tate, and other places that are just so awesome to visit while one is there.

Oh, if you want a city you can actually have a look around, then by all means go to London. Tate Modern, Houses of Parliament, House of Commons, Hyde Park, etc etc etc. The city is landmarks galore! I myself would go to Plymouth if I wanted fun though, probably beause I have friends there, but meh, it has everything you need, including a street lined with night-clubs of all varieties. It's also home to the Royal Navy dont'cha know.

Whoa, was that Mio who just posted? O_o
If I had TONS of money, I would go to Paris and London to do tons of spending...if I had very little money, I'd go to a place like Estonia to do my shopping. Althuogh, really, if I had very little money I'd stay where I am and shop here, or shop online neutral

~shruggles~ for me it really depends on what I want/need that will often define *where* I get something.

Quote: Why does the fact that everything is cheap in Eastern Europe and Russia not surprise me..... Hmm well, a lot of eastern Europe has Russia as a major trading partner, and Russia makes a huge ammount of domestic product which is essentially very cheap as the raw material is cheap and wages in Russia are not as high as they are in for example UK. The wages in most eastern European countries are rather lousy too, so stuff here obviously is not considerably more expensive, specially so with domestic product. Estonia is catching up on overpriced product now a days tho, because of European influence. uh sorry about the messy chapter, I can't repair it at the moment. Thanks btw!

for me if i needed things cheaper, i'd most likely not be going to any of these places visiting anyway.. so i'd have to just try to find it online for less or something..
