Yeah, I know it's not my best, but it was just an example of bad, good or good, bad. I haven't written a lot of poetry recently, and I wrote that like Monday, so it didn't have a normal, good tune..

YAY!!!!!!! There are kindred souls alive! This is good. I don't know too many people who like that kind of poetry. This is coolio. It is so nice to know. I only write poetry after the death of some one or when I'm feeling empty. Then I burn it.

This is gonna be gay, but that's okay. Wrote it in less than a minute.
Upon a midnight glow, I saw the reindeer, I heard the carols. In a world of hate and sadness, I felt it true in my heart, A small sense of happiness. When those carols came and sang to me, Or when those reindeer landed on my roof, I saw St. Nick, And I felt truly special, That he'd come all the way, From the North Pole, Just to serve me. Merry Christmas, Feel special that St. Nick, Would travel all the way from the North Pole, To give all the naughty little kids, Like you and me, The presents that make us giggle and laugh, All season long, And more seasons to come.

That was total coolioness. I like it. I think that I am going to go sort mi madre's poetry books just for this. Oh, wait. I have a good poem with me now.
I've known rivers: I've known rivers ancient as the world and older than the flow of human blood in human veins.
My soul has grown deep like the rivers.
I bathed in the Euphates when dawns were young. I built my hut near the Congo and it lulled me to sleep. I looked apon the Nile and raised pyramids above it. I heard the singing of the Mississippi when Abe Lincoln went down to New Orleans and I've seen it's muddy bosom turn all golden in the sunset.
I've known rivers: Ancient dusky rivers.
My soul has grown deep like the rivers. -Langston Hughes

Yes it ish and yes he ish. But I like Langston Hughes and people who wrote his type of poetry best. I don't like poetry from the Elizabethan era very much. It's just too wierd for me.

Queen Elizabeth's poetry is not the same from her era. You should read some of her better poems [[damn can't think of any grr]]. But, they're not like Shakespeare or that repitive horrible crap you usually have to read for like 12th grade English class. I actually like Elizabeth, don't like the rest lol. I actually don't even really like poetry that much, I don't like reading it all the much, yet I write it and I don't know why. I suppose it's because I feel like writing yet I don't feel like ultimately writing, such as a story? I don't know... I guess I like to bore people with my own fake sappy love things or my overdramatic death plagued poems. Hah.
