Crumpet Lord Torchwood Holes in the plot, all of the equipment the cybermen brought through in the last two doctor who episodes was covered with void stuff because it was from their universe, so unless they took components from around Torchwood to make the conversion unit, it should have been sucked into the void with the cybers and the daleks. And then theres the armour of the cybermen they took across, why didnt that get sucked in? On the torchwood site (not the beeb one, the other one), look under case files: the fall of torchwood one: cleanup. Where?? Link Please

Well, I haven't actually seen the episode, so don't kill me or anything, but just from the suit I get the distinct impression that this episode was a bit far fetched. I mean really, do ALL cybermen have bikini bottoms under those suits? Because that would make them considerably more laughable.

They were running short on cyber-metal, so they decided to just cover up the naughty bits... maybe they were worried that having a bunch of nekkid cyberwomen running around might blow out the cybermens' emotional inhibitors? I, of course, just made that up. The cyber-bikini is a laughably stupid idea.

I didn't like the cybersuit much for that reason...and the pterodactyl was a easy-out ending to it.....and the snogging??? Come on..that just got annoying after a while, even for this. I love how Jack has turned into a semi-Doctor now.. it's like he can't exactly die, but he can feel pain...not really all that fun, but I suppose easier than regeneration...and much less obvious the connection..

It was a great episode until my brain switched back on. Too contrived. I think the thing that finally killed it was the brain transplant. Just how in the hell did she manage that? I'm willing to suspend disbelief and magic and alien tech would account for it but she couldn't even do a minor upgrade to the doctor.

See, now having talked about brain transplants and the mind body problem in philosophy, I actually thought that part was pretty neat. Good moral dilemma for Ianto!
(btw I finally saw the episode)
And that pterodactyl fighting a Cyberwoman was amazing. I was crying I was laughing so hard. How do you destroy Cybermen? pour barbeque sauce on them! But of course!!

When actually watching the episode, I found that it was a decent hour of my life (as hours of my life go). It wasn't bad at all. For one of those spin-offs that gets a classic element from a classic show, sexes it up somewhat and then unashamedly releases it to the general public. Yes, one of those. Then, later, when I tried to analyse the plot, I realised how many holes were in it. Maybe the sheer contradictoriness (is that even a word?) of the script was what created the rift in the first place, eh? Whaddya think? Travis III's advice: Watch the episode for enjoyment, and you will enjoy it. Take it seriously and you might start really hating this episode. And it'll give you a headache...
