Kaleb could almost hear the voice on the other end of the phone from where he stood across the room. Even though it wasn't directed at him, he fidgeted slightly and stepped closer to Rude without realizing it.

"Rufus. If you dont stop screaming at me you're going to end up not looking presentable for your meeting." At Tseng's words the other end of the phone went silent. "That's better."
Rude looked down at the blond and raised a brow.

Kaleb didn't notice Rude's reaction, but he was able to stop fidgeting when Rufus stopped yelling. If his new employer got so worked up over injuries, perhaps he should suggest providing Reno with a shielding spell before he went out to do whatever it was he did. But then again, if Rufus had been able to find out about his healing, certainly he knew about his other skills and would have requested a shield if he thought it was necessary.

Reno got up and slunk over to Kaleb. "Don't mike the boss. He gets like that when he hasnt been laid lately." He grinned as he leaned on Rude.

Kaleb was a pretty sheltered kid, so the best response he could give was a confused look. "Hasn't been laid?" He asked, completely clueless as to what Reno was talking about.

Kaleb was certain he didn't know what Reno was talking about, and he was confused further by Rude's timely interruption. "Oh." He said, furrowing his brow a bit. He didn't see the connection between being high strung and being bent over a desk.

Rude didnt take his hand off Reno's mouth since it seemed as if the red-head was still talking. "Dont worry about it"

"O-okay," Kaleb said as he glanced between Rude and Reno, "I-I won't." His glance lingered on Reno for a second, wondering what the redhead had wanted to say so badly that he would try to talk around Rude's hand.

Looking at Reno for a moment he slowly pulled his hand away but held it up in case Reno wanted to keep going.
"You just dont want me saying it cause he's all innocent. If it wasj just us you'd like it." He scrunched his nose and glared at Rude for a moment before turning back to Kaleb.
"Anyway. Yea. Rufus has a short fuse so dont take anything personl if he yells"

Kaleb's brows furrowed again. "Even if he has a short temper, I-I would hate to do something wrong to make him angry..." His glance wandered to Rude's neatly bandaged wrist, and he had to bite his lip to keep from saying anything.

Kaleb nodded in a somewhat distracted manner. When he was reminded of it, knowing someone didn't want care for their injuries felt like a really bad itch that he couldn't do a thing about. "I-I'm not afraid of being hurt, I just wouldn't want to be yelled at."

"I expect someone so important wouldn't have a lot of time for vacations." Kaleb muttered. Then he abruptly twitched and looked up at Rude. "Are you sure you don't want me to heal your wrist at least?"
