Naruto shivered too. He pulled away the same time Gaara did. This is getting really awkward, Naruto though.
"Heh...um...well...." Naruto couldn't think of anything to say.
Ayame just stood there, standing back a few feet, watching the silly boys with a smile.
'Hm...this could get really weird.....' she thought.

Gaara started to feel all tingly and nervous/akward. "Uhhh." Gaara didnt know what to do next.

"So...um....you like m-miso...huh?? I like...." He started reaching for the chopsticks again. He wasn't really paying attention to where he was reaching and accidentally knocked over the whole cup of chopsticks, sending all of them to the ground.
"Ah, crap," said Naruto, getting off his stool to pick them up.

Gaara got up and helped Naruto. Gaara hand was on top of Naruto's and then their heads bumped into each other as they were picking up the sticks. "Oww." Gaara quickly lifted his hand and rubed his head. This is getting too weird. I have to get going before something really freaky happens. Gaara thought. 'Grrr' But his stomach disagreed with him. Well, i guess i should eat first. But after that im going home...if nothing else gets in the way that is.

"Ow....damn..." Naruto mumbled under his breath. He was slightly blushing, for Gaara had touched his hand. As he stood up, Ayame walked over with brand new chopsticks.
"Wouldn't be right to have ya'll eating dirt. Here you go!" She takes the dirty chopsticks from Naruto and puts new ones in the cup. She smiled as she turned around...a smile that shows she knows something the others don't.
"So-sorry..."Naruto said to Gaara, still slightly blushing. "I did....I didn't mean...to..."

Gaara started blushing as well and avoided Naruto's eyes. "It's ok. Let's just eat." The only thing Gaara looked at was his food. He didnt want to look at Naruto cuz he was afraid that would make him want to do something that he normaly wouldnt. Gaara grabed a new pair of chopsticks and made sure this time he was careful.

"um..yeah...okay..." He reached for new chocksticks and began eating.
Naruto tryed to avoid Gaara eyes as well, but it didn't seem to be working for him. He kept stealling glances at him from the corner of his eyes. He had to fight the erge to turn his head completely and look at him.
Damn!!! thought Naruto. What the hell am I doing?? Why am I looking at him??
Naruto tightened the grip on his chopsticks.
It's not like...I'm not supposed to be falling in love with him!!...................WHAT THE HELL?? DID I JUST THINK WHAT I THOUGHT I THOUGHT????!!!! I'M NOT FALLING IN LOVE WITH HIM!!! WHAT AM I DOING!??!?!?!?!

Gaara fought the same urge as well. While Gaara was eating all he could do was think of Naruto, This feeling, i dont understand it. Wtf is happening, this should not be happening. Ive never felt like this before. Is this what it feels like to.....NO!! I shouldnt be thinking like this. I must think of something else, like....FOOD! Yes, food...ramen...Naruto...NO! Must stop!! Gaara fought with himself while trying to eat but it seemed like he couldnt eat. Finally Gaara took a bite but as he did he noticed Naruto glancing at him and glanced back. When he glanced back at Naruto his whole head turned towards Naruto and he couldnt stop staring into his sparkling blue eyes. Must...turn..head...must...stop...looking...

Naruto couldn't turn his head back to look at his ramen. He was just staring at Gaara, not knowing what to say or do. His hands started to shake nervously; his heart was pounding as if trying to escape from Naruto chest.
"Ga-gaara...I..." Naruto couldn't finish his sentence.

Gaara dropped his chopsticks, still staring at Naruto, and stood up. Don't do it, don't do it Gaara tried to regain control of his body. You know you want to Gaara, it no use in fighting it. Who...? It's me, the Shukaku. He knew who was making him do this stuff. Why...? I know you. No! im not interested Gaara fought again but at least he stopped walking. He stopped right in front of Naruto and Gaara looked kinda nervous and sweaty.

"Ga-Gaara!!" Naruto stood up right in front of Gaara. "What's wrong?? Are you okay??" He stared into Gaara's eyes, and noticed a sence of fear in them. "Gaara?? Are you okay?"

Gaara shook his head, "Yeah im fine." Gaara regained control over himself after he and the Shukaku made a deal. "Yeah, im fine." Gaara quickly finished eating and started to walk away from the shop. Hoping nothing like that ever happens again. "See ya later." Gaara lifted his hand.

Naruto just stood there as he watched Gaara leave, slightly comfused. "I wonder what happend," Naruto said. He sat back down on the stool and finished up his first bowl of Ramen.
Ayame walked up to him quietly, other bowl of Ramen in her hand. She sat it down gently.
"I guess you friend isnt staying? Sorry....but you know....I think he really likes you..."
Naruto looked up. "What??"
"Yeah...he really likes you alot...I can tell...but.....theres something wrong...that makes him...I don't know...scared.."
Naruto looked back down. He thought about it for a while.

Unbeknownst to the two demon carriers, Sasuke had witnessed the whole scene in the ramen shop from across the street. Hidden amongst the shadows, he gritted his teeth and held back the urge to walk over and interject between the two. His stomach boiled with jealousy.
It was true that Gaara was closer to Naruto since their fight, and having such similar backgrounds, it was no wonder that the blond would choose the raccoon boy over him. 'After all, who would want someone that insults them and hurts them as much as I have? But why Gaara of all people?!' The thought just made the raven's heart tighten.
The look on Naruto's face when he was listening to Ayame's statement was the finally stake to his heart. In anger and sadness, Sasuke turned and walked away in the opposite direction Gaara had headed, bottling up his feelings and fighting down the tears that would never come.
