I love MKR, the story is so sweet and different but the ending was... Well, I don't think it can be explained in words. I loved Umi sooooo much, I used her character design a lot for my own character Suzaka. Plus I act a lot like her than other character I can think of. ^^'

But after reading all 3 books of the first season I came to love Princess Emeraude more and of course Zagato along with it. Alcyone was okay too... but a bit extreme for my tastes.

I adore the evil guys whom do it for love.... heart

MKR was actually the 2nd manga I bought (Dragon Knights being the first). But then I bought the box sets and I sold the individual books to my grandpa for $20! ^^ He wanted them to prove to Grandma's students that there really are English dialogs in the manga over here. (My grandparents live in Hokkaido, BTW)

But I like the 2nd season more than the first. Not exactly sure why but I just do.

crying Honestly I have only seen like the frist three or frour episodes of the anime series and not much else. I have heard people say that the manga is better and the ending is great (though I can't tell if they were talking about the first season or second. but either way it has a very big twist to it..from what I heard)
sweatdrop I really need to get better on reading CLAMP stuff. I have read a bit of there things but most of it I have only seen or read the very first things on it.
What I need is to collect the small three book or one book seires and then move on to getting the biger things later.

Magic Knights Rayearth was my second official manga that I ever got sucked into...

The art completely took me away. ^ ^; I remember commenting on how I liked that style of art because it made them look more oriental... *and it was really an awesome style to me*

But I never did buy the manga until last year. o_O;;;;;;; Meh.

*this whole thing just brings nostalgia to me. ^__^;*

I remember looking around on an MKR site and at the bottom of it there was a picture of Miyuki-chan from Wonderland and a caption that said "If you like this, try some of CLAMP's other great works like Miyuki-chan in Wonderland!"

And I was like : " eek YOU MEAN THESE PEOPLE MADE ANOTHER MANGA BESIDES THIS ONE?!!?! O______O"

And... after that it was X/1999... XD and my journey into CLAMPdom began...

I love Hikaru. She is very much like me, *even the shortness... because I always feel like I'm short* and she's just too cool. ^__^;;; I like the way Umi's hair always flows like water. o_O; *yup*

Let's see... my friends really like Ascot..... and Eagle... and.... no one of us really likes Lantis. xd But Zagato looks awesome with his head gear off. o_O; *ya* I liked Zagato. He was alright. *nods*

I completely agree authough I dislike Hikaru. Both me and my friends think she doesn't deserve both Lantis and Eagle, Eagle's mine!

My favor charector was Umi, she seemed pretty down to earth compared to the other two and very funny in the first manga. I though Hikura was a bit too naive. Fuu in away reminds me of myself being so quiet in reality.

X_X; What annoyed me the most was how they relied on each other so much.
Then in the manga where Hikura said she tells us to name the new country, I found it a bit chessy. I hated the ending, it left me hanging and wanting a sequel.

The artwork in the anime wasn't as good as the manga's like usual.

Of the guys I found Ascot in the anime annoying, mainly during the first season. I just wanted to slap that kid like Umi did. Though I love the moments between Clef and Umi. So cute.

you think..?
i really enjoyed the ascot and umi thing--that was blocked out in the anime.
anyways, my favorite character would be lady aska of fahren.
you who arent very obsessed would asked who the heck im talking about.
however, those who remember, will remember aska, the crazy princess has a really weird hairdo, and a wacky personality.
shes a character thats in the backround, but she stands out to me.
shes so selfish and stubborn and funny that i love her.
the sang yun and aska thing would probably be foregotton if people named all the couples in MKR, but i think its a really sweet, cute little couple.
aska has this thing about her that makes me laugh every time i read rayearth. her habit of saying "we" instead of "i", her constant laughing("oh ho ho ho ho ho!"), her selfishness(wanting the spirits! really...), her stupidity(in the manga, she doesnt really know about the djinn, which she shouldve studied about...), everyting!
i like her so much...

I love this anime! In fact it was got me hooked on to CLAMP's work. The artwork was beautiful and the storyline was great too.

I prefered the anime over the manga for one reason, the lack of content. I bought the manga when I was in Japan, it was only three books and there wasn't half of the events/things/people in the manga that were in the anime.

My favourite character was Hikaru, her fiesty personailty and cuteness appelled to me. I loved Mokona too!!!

Hi everyone. biggrin MKR is my most favorite manga so far. And of course Princess Emeraude is my most favorite char. I loved her at first sight, and how she remained strong and how conflicted she was. She and Zagato are my most fave couple so far. 3nodding

The anime: I saw some of the dubbed anime...the best way to view it is to rent it, I use netflicks to watch any anime. Then if I like it I would buy it. biggrin

Are there any characters in MKR that you guys don't like?

I haven't seen much of the anime, and many of the chars in the anime grate on my nerves...in the manga well I guess Alcyione. The other chars are cool. heart
