Private RP - Chipmunk and River


It had been a long time or at least seemed it since River had seen her son. She had got on with life as normal and hadn't mentioned Chip to Ren or her pups. She didn't know what to say about it.

She had waited until everyone was asleep to go looking for her son. She knew it wouldn't be easy but at the same time she knew he wouldn't be easy to find as he now knew how to hide. She would look though, she needed to find him. They both needed things that needed to be said.

"Chip?" She looked around, her nose in the air trying to catch his scent. "Chipmunk?" She knew he would find her but she still had to try and find him herself.

Chip had been keeping low and away from his mother and siblings so that he could think things through and try and work out why he could get in others minds and why he had these silly dreams.

It seemed though that dreams weren't going to be going away anytime soon as he had dreams now of one of the boys leaving with his sister and that River would go on with just two of the pups but she would go to fight but then wouldn't and it ended. Chip knew nothing else was going to come of the dreams.

He had been bored and decided to try and use these odd and strange powers to get some food, it seemed he could convince rabbits to walk straight into his claws. Well at least hunting was now the easiest thing in the world.

He was resting with his kill when he had heard his mother calling him, or more felt it. He stood up and went to the voice until he saw his mother, something that made him feel incredibly happy and he ran over like a little pup.

"Mother I had another dream!"

River heard Chip coming, it seemed he still didn't know how to be quiet.

"I expect you have. Chip come with me, we have things to talk about." She smiled softly and nuzzled at him before moving towards the river where she had taken Ocean only a few days before.

As they reached the water River lowered her head to drink before sitting down and looking at her son.

"Chip you do know you are a seer don't you? Everything you have explained seems to prove it. That means you have power that you have got to look after properly. I have seen wolves that are crazed because of their power!" Though in all she had actually only seen a female who pretended to be a seer but either way.

"Chip just promise me you will use your powers for good and not bad." River had to make sure this was certain in her son as she didn't wish anything bad on her son, she loved him.

Chip was annoyed that he couldn't tell her his dream yet but he nodded and followed her, taking a drink as she did and listened to everything that she said.

It confused him.

He was a seer? No. His mother had it wrong. Seers were really special wolves though he was sure that was what Amelie was she was very special he knew that.

"Mother? You are so wrong!" He laughed a little but got a bit worried about how she became so serious about it. How it seemed to be dangerous. Not that it mattered because there was no way that he was a seer. He was just a normal wolf!

"Mother anyway while you think I am something I am not... My dream was about my brother. The brownish blue one is going to be taken away by Rune and you are going to keep the other two and then you are going to go fight but then you won't but I don't know why." He smiled. That was all that was in his dream so all that he could tell.

He smiled at his mother still completely oblivious that it was true about him being a seer. It wasn't something that he could just ignore, he was a seer and he couldn't do anything about it.

River sighed but didn't say anything until he had finished. She didn't have a clue what his latest dream meant but she would think about it later. It wasn't important right now.

"Chip. You are a seer. Don't deny it." She walked over to him and licked at his maw in a loving motherly way.

"Chip I love you, I am your mother do you really think I would lie to you?" She was being deadly serious and he had to know that he had to know what his powers involved.

"Chip you will get these dreams again and again about different things. You can use your dreams to help others OK? You are a seer my son, you are special, very special. You are my special son and you always will be." She smiled at him softly and just hoped that at last he understood.

Chip listened and became a little worried. His mother wouldn't lie that was true so did that mean that...

No.

How could he be a seer but then maybe he could help those who he dreams about? Yes. He could and then he could make his mother proud and maybe find a mate and have a family and he could be a good nice caring wolf. Oh yes this was good.

"You are right mother. It makes sense that you are right." He nuzzled her happily.

"I am going to help those who I dream about and then I can help those who need it and... and... oh it will be so good!" He stood up suddenly his tail wagging happily.

"I love you mother but I shall leave you now. I will come and visit you and my brothers." He licked at her and went bounding off. His mother had done her job. Shown her love and through that let the truth sink in to his heart.

All he needed was the love that he had been deprived of all his life and with that love came realisation. He could help those and though he still wasn't mentally stable he was a lot better and happier then he had been in his life.
