Origin of name: Named after Lyth's gryphon character
Special traits: Powerful seer-mage; do not anger.
Plumage: Midnight blue, highlighted with gold and silver; her feathers gleam with true metallic colours.
Personality: Arysil is a perfectionist by nature; she preens often to keep her plumage as pristine as possible. She makes a point to behave with proper manners, and expects much of the same of everyone else. At times she may seem pushy and arrogant, especially if irritated. However, beneath the outer image of a prim and proper lady, she is very loving. Being the eldest of Lythiaren's Phoenii, she takes it upon herself to take care of the younglings in the nest.
Activities of choice: In spite of her 'prim and proper' mentality, Arysil does still enjoy a little fun now and again. While she dislikes participating in activities that will involve getting her feathers dirtied, she will watch this sort of thing with some amusement. However, her recreational activity of choice is none other than a good flight through the skies. She loves the feel of wind in her feathers and, because of this, spends much of her free time indulging in some fancy flying. Arysil also likes to collect jewelry and silly hats. She will wear them when she thinks no one is looking. Well... the jewelry, anyway.
On love and relationships: This Phoenii is incredibly picky. She will not hesitate to shunt off a potential mate if she finds him to be a nuisance, or too rude for her liking. She holds very strict criteria; when she mates, she will mate for life. Anyone who manages to find the path to her heart must be prepared for dedication before he walks it; should her heart be broken, she too will break and vengeance will be sought. Drop her, and be prepared for scorched feathers and injury.

Special traits: Halloween Phoenii
Plumage: Orange, with dark brown swirl patterns; there are also bats on him somewhere. Aside from the bat-shaped feathers on his head-crest.
Personality: Pannosus, having been saddled with the task of assisting his adoptive sister with raising the baby Phoenii of this nest, has grown to be a fun-loving gentleman of a Phoenii. While he does retain his vicious nature as a Halloween Phoenii, he keeps it in check. He resists the urge to attack things and rip them apart; he feels that the satisfaction of doing so is not worth the tongue-lashing he will inevitably get from Arysil.
Activities of choice: Pannosus loves the outdoors. His favourite pastimes (short of destroying things, which would get him in trouble) mostly involve playing with chicks. He can often be seen chasing them about the area in a game of tag, or trying (and failing badly) to conceal himself in a game of hide-and-seek. This aside, he also enjoys napping in the shade, as well as studying the behaviour of his ant colony, kept in a fish tank here in the nest.
On love and relationships: Unlike Arysil, Pannosus is not exactly a picky Phoenii. He realizes that it's okay to fall in and out of love; however, this is no way implies that he will heed the call of hormones at every opportunity. His criteria for a potential mate are lax and flexible: he seeks a female with a loving personality, and that is all. He may become posessive if he feels a need to be.

Special traits: Cosplay Phoenii

Plumage: Pure white, from what is visible; she also has long brown hair, which sweeps into large curls about midway down. She is cosplaying, after all. ^_~
Personality: At first, she may seem incredibly timid and shy. However, in reality Suiseiseki is, in a word, devious. Or at least she tries to be. She does enjoy picking on little Phoenii, although at heart she really is loving. As Souseiseki's older twin, she takes it upon herself to ensure that her dear sister is safe and happy. Suiseiseki also hates fighting of any kind, especially among siblings, and will not hesitate to butt in to stop a fight. She is also incredibly posessive of her things.
Activities of choice: Suiseiseki loves flowers, and is often found taking care of them. At times, it may seem that she is talking to them, though no one really knows if she actually is. Another pastime of choice involves sneakily pilfering treats from other Phoenii, then faking innocence for the sake of fun. She is also something of a healer; her artifical spirit, Jade Dream (the little glowy green thing), can not only summon the Gardener's Watering Can, but also open Dream Doors, or portals to the dream world. There, Suiseiseki can tend to a person's soul-tree by watering it. However, her power is limited; she needs Souseiseki and the Gardener's Shears to effectively tend to soul-trees. The Gardener Twins are the only Rozen Maidens that possess the ability to open Dream Doors.

Special traits: None
Plumage: White 2nd-Gen standard Phoenii. Through the use of an iris vial, however, her eyes have changed to serene blue, from their natural fierce red.
Personality: Alice is a rather shy and timid Phoenii. While at times she may seem antisocial, at heart she really does want to do things with other Phoenii. However, she is very self-conscious and tries to avoid putting herself in a negative light. She wishes for acceptance, but makes no move to get it; she is afraid of coming off as pushy or needy. Shyness aside, Alice is also a dreamer, with a love for romance and fantasy.
Activities of choice: This Phoenii loves flowers. She will often help Suiseiseki with watering the flower garden, just so she can enjoy the sweet smell. If she can get her claws on a book, she can often be found near the flowers with her beak in the volume. She is easily disturbed, however. She also enjoys wandering the shore of the Lagoon, watching the sun set over the mountains across the water.
On love and relationships: Alice is a hopeless romantic; she will be very hesitant to express love, because she fears rejection. A Phoenii hoping to woo the White Princess mustn't be afraid of her beating around the bush.

Special traits: Gryphoenii (vial)
Plumage: Black 2nd-Gen standard Phoenii. He became a Gryphoenii by drinking from a vial.
Personality: Protective, especially of Alice. He is, however, only aggressive when he perceives some sort of threat to the nest. When all is well, he has no qualms with socializing a little, but he never lets his guard down. In spite of this, he is not paranoid, but he does approach most things with caution. He posesses a strong sense of duty and will never hesitate to protect those dear to him. Patrolling aside, he is actually rather easygoing.
Activities of choice: Eclipse most enjoys guarding the nest; his eyes are sharp and his ears sharper. If anyone is ever looking for him, chances are high that he will simply be found at the nest entrance. Of those who reside here, he takes special care watching the fragile White Princess, Alice. He takes it upon himself to ensure her safety, but also feels that she should get out more. In a way he is her self-appointed bodyguard.
On love and relationships: Not particularly interested in a relationship at this time, but he has no problem interacting with whomever cares to talk with him.
Breeding availability: Available to breed; RP might be needed to coax him out to the Lagoon unless Alice is there.

Plumage: Purple 2nd-Gen standard Phoenii. She's just plain purple. Need I say more?
Personality: Simply? Hyper. She refused to learn from Arysil's example as a chick, and grew up to be a childish, fun-loving Phoenii instead. She is rather spontaneous and unpredictable; it's hard to keep her attention for long. Always active and almost never down, she can often be counted on to lighten the mood with her clumsy antics and terrible sense of humour. Due to this childishness, she tends to make a nuisance of herself. May require a smack upside the head to make her stop.
Activities of choice: Bad puns. Amethyst finds ridiculous puns rather delightful, and always appreciates a good joke. Just as well; she makes terrible jokes, herself. As long as there's something to laugh about, she's happy. Even if that something is herself. She's terribly clumsy and knows this, but makes no effort to correct it. Why fix it when she can make people smile by tripping on her own tail? Amethyst also hoards shiny objects. They're a very good way to get on her good side fast.
On love and relationships: Amethyst does not actively look for a partner. She does, however, keep an open mind about any male that seems attracted to her. It may be difficult to keep her with one single male, however; she's incredibly spontaneous and may become bored rather quickly. It will take a lot of dedication to hang on to this girl, that's for certain.

Plumage: Orange 2nd-Gen standard Phoenii. He is orange. Yes. Orange. Orange and brown.
Personality: Proud and bright. He grew up with name-teasing, but he was always able to snap back. His quick wit keeps him on his feet and he uses this to his advantage. He's sneaky, clever Phoenii in an argument, but he will back down when he's been beaten. He is also rather selfish and posessive, much like a rooster. Just don't make fun of his name; he is likely to get angry. Beware of flying objects; he's got good aim.
Activities of choice: Preening, fancy flying, and otherwise being a showoff. He takes pride in his plumage, and grooms himself often. But what use are immaculate feathers if you can't show them off? Citrus loves to go flying, coasting on thermals about the area and performing aerobatic tricks. While he's not particularly awesome at it, he isn't too bad, either. His perches of choice are at the tops of things: trees, rocks, and bushes. This allows him to use his perch as a makeshift platform to puff out his feathers.
On love and relationships: Citrus is shallow, and makes no secret of this. He may show an interest in any attractive female he spies, but he doesn't actually feel it necessary to go up and talk. He feels that his mere presence, or at least his bright and eye-catching plumage, should be enough to turn heads. He doesn't think it practical to lifemate.

Special traits: None
Plumage: Black 2nd-Gen standard Phoenii. Stark and dead black, he's even darker than Eclipse. His feathers are slightly ruffled, as he doesn't take as much care in his appearance.
Personality: Shifty and cryptic; he talks in riddles much of the time. While he doesn't often seem to make sense, he will spit his words out bluntly in plain English if he's not in the mood to confuse. He inserts implications into nearly everything he can; he loves to make eveyrone else think. This, combined with his tendency to watch everything about him with scrutiny, often makes other Phoenii rather uncomfortable in his presence.
Activities of choice: Raven is a brooder; if he finds a suitable perch, he will sit himself there to ponder the ways of the world. He also enjoys reading, to further his knowledge and build on his own philosophy. His observations (especially in this nest) have led him to some bizarre conclusions, but he seeks always to further his knowledge.
On love and relationships: Raven values thinkers and intelligence above plumage and posturing. He never tires of a bright mind with a new perspective to examine and appreciate. While he's not a typical bring-you-flowers kind of bird, he does give off cues to his affection. Although these cues are often subtle, much like the rest of his sneaky, puzzling ways.

Origin of name: (Pern) Bronze Monarth of Monaco Bay Weyr
Special traits: None
Plumage: Shining metallic bronze feathers, mottled deep green with dark brownish patches. He is certainly a sight to see, especially when flying, when the light plays on his stunning plumage.
Personality: He posesses a strong sense of duty and attachment, as well as a healthy dose of curiosity. He's quite a leader, and has a compulsive urge to help when he sees anyone in distress or danger. Unlike Eclipse, he will help just about anyone, whether they reside in this nest or not.
Activities of choice: Monarth enjoys flying, especially with Path. His natural curiosity leads him to wander all over, to examine this and that and the other thing. When placed in a group with a task, he falls easily into a leader position (or close) and works hard to accomplish the task at hand in a fast, efficient, and enjoyable fashion.
On love and relationships: He has a particularly soft spot for Path, although he is open to another relationship when he reaches adulthood. He is very likely to lifemate to her, so any relationship before this will obviously be temporary.
Breeding availability: Very limited; will lifemate to Path after a maximum of three other breedings.

Origin of name: Colouration; I mean look at it! It's nuts!
Special traits: None
Plumage: As his name implies, scarlet. Markings of blue and green decorate the red in streaks and circles, points and curves. Twin crescents take up much of his lower back. Notably, he exhibits 'tipping' in his primaries and cheek down.
Personality: Sophisticated, yet social with a tendency toward the dramatic. Arysil's methods worked well on this bird; Scarletcell prides himself on his composure and self-control. He observes manners with thought as well as tact, and often makes an excellent mediator in squabbles. Socially, he does enjoy meeting other Phoenii and making friends, holding friendship at high value. His personality isn't exactly magnetic, but he tries his best to be amiable and polite at the same time without coming off as stiff or snobby.
Activities of choice: Getting out and meeting other Phoenii. He loves to interact with the colourful personalities of others, delighting in quirks and twists. His spark for the dramatic often manifests itself in his amusing social antics, as well. If he is in a particularly silly mood at the time, he may make a show of introducing himself to another Phoenii, complete with exaggerated bowing. If the Phoenii in question is female, he may even add kneeling and kissing of hands. Er... wingtips.
On love and relationships: Celebration in Scarlet adores a Phoenii with tasteful humour and a sense of devotion. He looks down upon those who would laugh at vulgar jokes, as well as any Phoenii that cannot devote themselves to their partner. While his showy flair may suggest otherwise, he is very serious about relationships and will not hesitate to drop an unfaithful lover. His sense of devotion is second only to that of Arysil herself, and in this respect he is also incredibly vengeful.

Plumage: Green 1st-Gen standard Phoenii. Her feathers are a rich, deep green. Her primaries are slightly darker than the remainder of her plumage.
Personality: Snooty and arrogant. Once she knows the rules, she makes it a point to enforce them to the letter. If she finds a deviant, she will chew them out herself. This mentality has made her not only into a fine follower and strict taskmaster, but a good leader as well. She keeps the well-being of those around her at the forefront of her decisions, but rules and regulations follow close behind. Her pride will not allow her to admit to being wrong, but when effectively disproved, she will shut her beak and fume, rather than argue needlessly. She wastes no words, and her blunt way of speaking may be offputting to most. Beware of PMS!
Activities of choice: Helping Arysil with the raising of chicks. Path is an efficient planner and organizer, so she is very good with assigning tasks and time management. She likes a good party, if only for food; another thing she enjoys doing. She also enjoys spending time with Monarth.
On love and relationships: Path does not warm up easily. The one most successful thus far is Monarth. However, she does fall into amorous moods form time to time; watch for it and take advantage if you want to sire her chicks! Chances are limited; as time goes by she and Monarth draw closer. Chances are high that they will lifemate soon.

Plumage: Red 1st-Gen standard Phoenii. His feathers are a rich shade of red, slightly dulled in his primaries and tailfeathers. He may also take a blue iris vial in the future.
Personality: Thoughtful and altruistic. Like Monarth, he is a pretty darn good leader; however, he makes himself content with the position of second in command, instead of leading the group at the helm. This gives him more space to think, and think he does! Somewhat of a revolutionary, he delights in thinking up and trying new things, especially if his new idea is of potential benefit to the group as a whole. Regardless, he dives into his task with zeal.
Activities of choice: Canth enjoys the sun; when at home, he often places himself outside with Eclipse, wings spread wide to absorb the warm rays of the sun. Hunting is another of his favourite pastimes; Canth is an efficient hunter with lightning reflexes that allow him to change his plans to suit the situation. He usually just stuns the creatures and carries them off until they've recovered enough to be put back after he has ensured that it's alright. However he does kill for food on occasion.
On love and relationships: He has a bit of trouble picking up hints in this regard, though he usually posesses quite a bit of empathy. His caring nature may be appealing, but after growing up with Wirenth, he has realized that she's the only one for him. He cares for her more than he cares for himself; it's a good thing she takes care of him, too!

Plumage: Yellow 1st-Gen standard Phoenii. Her feathers are golden yellow, with a slight orangey tinge to her primaries. Like Canth, she may take a blue iris vial in the future.
Personality: Passionate and caring, and ever concerned with the well-being of others. Because of this, she has taken on the role of Healer without hesitation. She possesses a strong sense of duty, and never fails to heed that call. She thinks of a patient's needs before her own, and always grows uneasy and fidgety if she is unable to get to a place in which she knows she is needed. If piled with non-Healer responsibilities, she falls easily into the role of coordinator.
Activities of choice: During her free time, Wirenth enjoys nothing more than sunning on the ridge with Canth. Because her feathers are light in colour, she does not warm as easily in the sun. What better excuse to snuggle up with her cozy, sun-warmed mate? When Canth hunts, Wirenth can be seen high above, gliding lazily on warm thermals while she watches the activity below. She is certainly a sight to see in flight; under the sun, her feathers gleam with health. At times, it looks as though her feathers had turned to gold.
On love and relationships: Wirenth is very direct and devoted when it comes to love. She had fallen for Canth as a teen, and has eyes for him alone. The advances of other males are immediately refused; she will have no one else. She does not care what anyone else may think of her, nor does she care that her faithfulness is often something to be envied.

Plumage: Slightly pinkish, resembling skintone (unlike her twin) from what is visible. Like Suiseiseki, she has brown hair, but her bangs swing in a mirror image of her sister's. Her hair is also shorter, in a tomboyish cut, to frame her face.
Personality: In spite of being the younger of the two, Souseiseki is by far the more responsible of the gardener twins. She is very handy around the nest, and rather enjoys her chores. She has a strong sense of duty, and it takes effort to stop her once she has decided where her duties lie. She follows her percieved purpose almost blindly, and this often lands her in trouble.
Activities of choice: Chores. Always the chores. Souseiseki likes her living space neat and tidy, and keeps it that way. She doesn't mind a little mess now and again, but she will pick up the cleaning when she has time and it is needed. Otherwise, she can often be found tending the flowers with Suiseiseki, pruning away weeds to ensure the health of the plants. Like her twin, she too as an artificial spirit: Lempicka summons the Gardener's Shears and opens Dream Doors in the same way as Suiseiseki's spirit, Jade Dream. Souseiseki uses the Shears to cut away malignant growth in and around a soul-tree. However, her power is limited; she needs Suiseiseki and the Gardener's Watering Can to effectively tend to soul-trees. The Gardener Twins are the only Rozen Maidens with artificial spirits that can force open Dream Doors.

Special traits: Gryphoenii
Plumage: Blue 1st-Gen standard Gryphoenii. Her pale blue feathers give her perfect camouflage in flight on a clear day. While her flight feathers are a shade darker, this does not seem to hinder her knack for nearly vanishing into the skies.
Personality: Deluge is a nosy Gryphoenii, to say the least. She is also very capable of multitasking, and uses this ability often. Quick to assume and quicker to stick a paw into her beak, she often intrudes into others' business, cheerfully offering advice whether it's wanted or not.
Activities of choice: Eavesdropping and matchmaking are Deluge's favourite pastimes. Her sensitive ears seem perfectly adapted for her; she can pick up interesting conversation from farther than most. She also loves to stick her beak into others' business, interfering where she's usually not very welcome. It is particularly difficult to avoid her in the air, as her plumage makes her very difficult to spot. She's particularly fond of gliding in flight, so she makes minimal noise and can enjoy the feel of wind through her feathers.
On love and relationships: Deluge prefers Gryphoenii, but otherwise her criteria are fairly straightforward. If you don't mind her nosiness and you can catch her in a chase, she's yours for the taking. She values smarts, stability, strength, and speed the most, in that order.
