"I can stand up just fine." He huffed and did just that. He didn't stay up for more than a few moments before he had to lean on the desk again. "...okay ... maybe i cant"

Kaleb's expression softened, and he moved closer so Riley could lean on him. "I-I'll help you down to your car. I'd offer to portal you home, i-it would be faster, but I don't want to make you dizzy." His partner was weak enough, and the mage didn't want him to get dizzy even for a short time.

He sighed like he was going to complain about the help but leaned on Kaleb slightly. "Don't need help ...." He was just griping now for the sake of griping.

"You want me to drop you and let you crawl down to your car?" Kaleb snapped slightly, before blushing and continuing in a quieter tone. "I-I wouldn't, even if you wanted me to." It was a good thing Kaleb was sturdier than he looked, Riley was probably leaning on him more than he cared to admit.

"No ..." What he wanted was his couch and a blanket and he wanted to sleep for a week. Though if he slept for a week the scientists would probably come looking for him and that wouldn't be nice.

Kaleb huffed a bit as he helped Riley out of his office and towards the elevator. He was already trying to work out the shortest route to the car garage, his partner was heavy and the mage didn't want to take too long and end up collapsing halfway.

"Ya don't have to help .. can get Rude ta do it. Know i'm heavy." He wasn't exactally heavy but he knew he had to be to Kaleb. Though if he went to get Rude the large Audio would probably tell Tseng and he'd get drug right down to the labs.

Kaleb huffed a bit more, this time more from the effort of the activity. Riley helped him out when he wasn't able to take care of himself, so the least he could do was return the favour. He didn't say anything though, it was enough work getting his partner to his car.

Once they reached the garage he moved away from Kaleb and leaned against a pillar. "Give me a sec ...."

Kaleb nodded and let Riley back off a bit, but he stayed close enough for his partner to lean on him again if it were neccessary. He was afraid at this point that Riley would just crawl into bed when he got home and sleep for a couple weeks without eating and drinking, or worse, crash on the couch. Riley wouldn't even get any good rest trying to sleep on the couch.

"Okay ... car's over there." he waved his hand toward where the back of his car could be seen. "Not that far..." He didn't really want to go that far. He just wanted to be home where he could sleep.

Kaleb nodded and fidgeted a bit while Riley wasn't leaning on him. "You're going to let me drive you home, right?" He didn't trust his partner to drive himself home, if he couldn't stand he certainly wouldn't be able to drive safely.

He didn't want anyone else driving his car but he didn't really think it was a good idea for him to be driving either. Digging out his keys he held them out to the other. "Here ..."

It wasn't difficult to pick up on the reluctance in Riley's voice as he handed over the keys, but Kaleb was more afraid for his partner than his partner's car. He moved to help Riley to the car and made sure he was comfortably seated in the passenger seat before going back around to slide in behind the wheel. He winced a bit once he had closed the car door, he would need to adjust the seat quite a bit.

"Yer shorter than me ... i'm gonna have to fix the seat and mirrors." Silly thing to worry about when he was sick but he hated having to move his stuff back into place.
He leaned his head against the window and sighed. The cold glass felt good against him.
