To continue the discussion...I don't necessarily like cliche happy endings. I like the kind of story that takes a character, then nearly destroys them, which gives them more substance, and then makes you think it's going to end tragically and then somehow brings it together in a way where you feel that everyone is going to be ok.

'Catch 22' by Heller is awesome like that. I recommend it like crazy. 3nodding
