SilverWings19 I've been a tomboy for 8 of my 15 years. Starting when my older brother always showed me video games and Dragon Ball Z. Over the years, like a regular younger sibling, I just started to mimic him. Tight! I don't like video games that much but I used to watch Dragon Ball Z a lot I've moved on to better things like this T.V. show called "SCARRED"

Ever since I was 5 I have loved soccer. So I became pretty good over the years. My bro started calling my a TomBoy after my first soccer game at 6. So the name just stuck. I still love soccer, and I'm still called a Tomboy.

when I was young [around 7-8], I have been called a tomboy by some guy, I have tried to avoid being called that, but I realised I look silly as a girly girl and can't be like them, in the end I still became tomboy.
I'm expecting a few punches right now...

I was very girly until a few years ago, actually. In 6th grade, when all the girls around me ever cared about was their looks. They'd complain about my shabby clothes, that I didn't do my hair right, that I was dumb for not having fake nails, and that I was lesbian for always just playing sports or not talking.
Then I realized that I didn't give two shits and just wanted to punch all them sluts in the face. And that I hate skirts.
And voila, tomboy Makoto.

That's mine too, spare the whole Sailor Jupiter's japanese name is Makoto...but whatever. I became a tomboy when I was about 3, i guess, my brother just played sports with me and talked to me in the boy's context and I just started saying and doing what he would.

Well, I've grown up with brothers and I had no sisters at the time though. When my mom lived with me I was kind of the girl type but I was also into what my brothers were doing so I slowly went into boyish stuff and since my mom moved it totally happened since I was the only girl in the house... so I turned all boyish and my sister was just born so I gave all my girlie stuff to my mom to give away since I hated them

well i dont have any sisters, and during the summer my cousins would come over to game with our playstation. (they were boys too) I later found out that the majority of my best friends were boys and boom! There i was, a tomboy! ^.^ I never like wearing skirts and desroyed all my barbie dolls when i was little. I never saw the point of doing that kind of stuff.

i have heted dolls since i was little. i was excluded from all girlie activites, both from the girls and me, so i liked boyish stuff. always been like that. right now i go to a private school and wear the girl uniform, and i say"you can change how i look, but when i get home i am what you girlie girls fear."

Well this one girl at my school was a tomboy, and I pretty much used her as a rolemodel so in like 2nd or 3rd grade i had stopped wearing skirts and dresses and stuff. So yeah.

the old avril lavigne's style kinda inspired me, i guess. also, all of my friends are dudes except 4 maybe about 5. paramore's style kinda made me a tomboy 2, since i wanna be just like them. they've inspired me 2 write over 770 songs.

When I was too stupid to get dressed by myself, my parents made me wear dresses and skirts. When I got smarter, I locked my room before they got a chance to get in. I wear boy shorts, and pants only now, and I wear T-shirts that have sports logos on them. NO MAKEUP, NO HAIR TIE! MY HAIR STAYS DOWN! It's easier being a tomboy because you don't have to worry about how you look. Girlie girls worry 24/7 about their hair, makeup, clothes, and all that crap. My friend who is also a tomboy agrees with me.
