Stopping, Gingey looked at the dark-colored mare, cocking his head to the side.
"You're sorry? For what? I don't know of anything you did wrong to be saying sorry for."
Looking up into the sky for a brief second, a slight breeze blew by, leaves flowing through the air and the clouds up above rolling on by. It was a lovely night, as the moon continued to shine down onto the lands below, yet the winds were picking up, which usually only meant that a storm of sorts was on its way.

Halloween stopped when Gingey stopped and she turned her gaze to the ground. "I was being rude when I didn't mean to. I didn't realize I was staring at you. You're eyes are so white... I've never seen eyes as white as yours. They're really pretty."
Halloween's gaze went to the sky as Gingey's did. The clouds above looked peaceful but when she sniffed the air there was a vague scent of water on the wind. She had figured out that when the air began to smell like water rain was coming but just the scent never gave away how strong the rain was going to be or if it would be a storm.

Starting to smell the water himself, Gingey shook some, never really liking water all that much. So, now, all that really invaded his mind was that he needed to seek shelter, and soon too. Still, hearing the mare's words, Gingey looked back over to her, smiling gently.
"Thank you. I appreciate the comment. I know I'm different from most others around here.. Which can lead to good things sometimes. If I may say so myself, your eyes are very unique as well. I've never seen eyes as bright green as yours."

Halloween knew the distastful feeling of not liking water herself. The rain had always bothered her as well as standing water. If she had a choice she would rather seek shelter than stand in the rain.
Her ears perked as Gingey spoke and she smiled. "Oh thank you. And yes different can be very good. I am different from you though we have similarities as well." Halloween turned her gaze up to the sky again, the clouds were coming in quickly. "Perhaps you feel the same way I do about water?" Halloween turned her gaze back to Gingey again and tilted her head to the side. "If you do, you won't mind if I ask we find a cave and finish this conversation in there."

A droplet of water fell from the sky and nicked Gingey in the ear, making him cringe and whinny at the sky some. Then, hearing Halloween's own discomfort with the rain made him smile, nodding to her and starting to gallop off.
The rain was starting to come down now. It wasn't heavy, but it wasn't hard either. Drop by drop, the rain started to hit the two horses, making them flee into who knew where.

Halloween followed quickly after Gingey her mane and tail waving like banners, but slowly becoming wet banners, in the wind. She tried to think. Where was the closest cavern? The rain pretty much had her soaked now and she was getting cold.
"Do you know of any caves near by?" She asked through the sounds of the rain and the wind.

Stopping and looking back, Gingey shook his head, his cropped mane shaking slightly and letting water loosely drip down his face.
"Nope, not at all. This area doesn't click in my mind... Which makes me think I haven't been here before.", he called back to her. His white eyes looked up for a second, a raindrop just nearly missing his pupil. With his eye twitching now, he looked back over to Halloween, wondering what to do.
"Have any suggestions?"

Halloween looked about her quickly. She partially knew this area. She remembered seeing a cave... somewhere. She'd liked the location of the cave but now she couldn't remember at all. She tried her best though the rain annoyed her so much she couldn't think straight.
"There's a cave somewhere near here. If we can find it we'll have shelter!" She replied turning her head this way and that. "I want to say it's that way but I can be sure." She explained pointing towards a path to the right of them. "Let's give it a try!" She said and galloped off down the path. If she was right the cave would not be far from them now.

Nodding, Gingey galloped off after this dark-colored mare, neighing some at the skies above. More rain was pouring now, and it was starting to create a slight curtain of water. It was still light, but nonetheless, it was water, which was the one thing that these two horses hated together.
"Where are we? I've never been in this part of the woods before!", Gingey called out to her, yelling since he was behind her, with the hopes of his voice traveling to her ears.

Halloween almost seem to fly through the trees until she slide to a hault outside the entrance of a cave. Slowly she stepped into the cave out of the rain and awaited Gingey to join her.
Once he was within ear shot of her she spoke. "I am not completely sure of the location though if I stumble onto the area I know where to go to find it. I've been all around this area though I've never marked where it is in relevation to other areas."

Following her inside the cave, Gingey took his first step in, his backside still getting wet, but his front finally free from the wrath of the rain. Once fully inside, he shook some, his mane and tail dripping with rain water and his body shining slightly from all the water streaking down.
"Well, at least it's dry in here. Shall we sit and talk some now?"

Halloween peered around the cave slowly. She'd been here a few times before but only breifly though she loved the cave itself. Stepping further into the cave Halloween layed down on the stone and motioned Gingey to join her.
"Until that rain stops I'm not leaving. I'd be happy to talk on anything at all."

Gingey nodded and trotted his way over, lying down next to his new friend. It was weird to have a mare as a friend.. But he surely didn't mind, for they had so much in common, even though they just met.
"Alrighty. What would you like to talk about?"

Halloween was comfortable with stallions and having them as friends though she never seemed to keep stallion friends for long without something happening to screw up the friendship. She was getting used to it by now really.
Racking her brain for a topic to talk about she spouted out the first thing that came to her. "Eh... Family? Do you have any family off somewhere? A mom, dad, mate... children, siblings?"

Not really having to ponder the question this mare had asked, Gingey merely shook his head, his eyes sinking somewhat.
"Nope.. None of that. I live alone, or travel alone. I only have a friend or two, and none of my family are around anymore. I have no mate and no children of any type. I slightly wish I did... For then I'd have a purpose in life.. But for now, I just go where ever my hooves care to take me. How about you?"
