Might as well...

From the overcrowded city of Chipperton, Snoe decided to catch a bus. It so happened to stop in Frostdale, yet another metropolis.

I am so tired of these cities... the snowy-themed Lemlet muttered quietly to himself. As he did, the breeze hit him harder this time, causing the Lemlet's cheeks to turn a bright shade of red, almost pink. Deciding that the weather was poised against him, Snoe stopped by a small corner cafe.

The menu wasn't amazing. The only options were coffee and a doughnut. Thus, Snoe ordered each, sampling each one with disgust. They were stale, but at least the coffee he held in his paws was warm.

Zaguruii, her paws slightly frost-bitten, walked around Frostdale. Her nose quivered as bits of ice went flying through the air, a few clinging onto the Zaguruui's short, but wair hair, only to be disolved by the heat radiating from Zaguruui.
Her head was downcast as she walked along the streets, hoping to recieve as minimal a number of snow flakes in her eyes.
Her nose suddenly picked up the faint aroma of ... coffee, was it? Something warm nonetheless. She looked up and squinted, a bright neon open sign marked a small coffee shop, just a few feet away.
Zaguruui scuttled towards it. Reaching it, she pushed the door open.
Inside, the aroma of coffee, though obviously poorly made, was overwhelming.
Zaguruii stopped at the menu counter, purchasing a cup of coffee, and ignoring the donuts on the menu.
Coffee now in hand, she spotted another lemlet. "May I sit here?" she queried of the stranger.

'I wouldn't mind.' replied the creature. As a matter of fact, it was better to be around a lot of people in this freezing weather. Not the one to start up conversations, Snoe decided to jump out of the box for a minute.

'Weather is definitely not on our side, huh.' he dryly stated, taking a sip of the coffee before pouring about ten sugar cubes into the steaming cup. His ears twitched, their numbness wearing off as the drink warmed up his entire body.

Zaguruii curtised in thanks slightly, and took a seat. "Depends on what exactally you mean? Personally, I'd prefer this weather to that of the East - near the Fire knight. I just came back from visiting there, vacation, ya know? I'd much have frost-bitting snow than drying heat." Zaguruui's mind wandered a bit to the recent vacation she had taken to visit her... adopted brother, Kaen Flamebright - though she rarely would admit any relation, blood or family, to the haughty knight.
She sipped a bit of coffee, and dabbed a remaining spot from around her mouth. Her tail twitched slightly, shaking off the remaining snowflakes.

'Seems interesting. I've read about the Fire Knight, but I never really knew he existed.' Snoe admitted. He didn't think any of the knights exsisted, really. They all just seemed like fantastic fairy tales to him.

After he took a sip of the sugared-down coffee again, shudders went through Snoe's body. The other Lemlet was right, the weather of the North was better than that of the East.

'I have family out East. And I must agree, the climate here is a whole lot friendlier than that sweltering cesspool.' Oddly enough, Snoe was still captivated by this simple conversation. Perhaps it was because talking kept his mouth warm or maybe it was because he found it funny how this other Lemlet was so prim & proper.

Zaguruui nodded at the other lemlet's first statement, but only slightly. She hadn't believed in knights before finding out that one had been "adopted" into her crazy family. "The Fire Knight's a bit scary to me. Never smiles. He's quite barbaric. That's part of the reason I liked up North here so much better, we're more civilized."
Zaguruui stole another sip of coffee before continuing. "Speaking of civilized things, would you like to accompany me to Foodfest? A distant cousin of mine is one of the competing chefs. Though... I won't comment as to how they've fared in the past." The words came flowing from Zaguruui's mouth before she realized what she was saying.

((Gahh. After I wrote this I realized that it's April now, so the Foodfest that happens in March wouldn't be happening anymore - but we can just pretend we're in the past, right?))

Snoe couldn't agree more with the Lemlet's previous statement. 'I admit, we are a bit more civilized up here than over there.' he said, but not before he drained his cup of coffee. Laying down the money Snoe owed to the cafe, he put his paws on the counter in preparation to leave.

'I would enjoy going to Foodfest, but I never quite caught your name.' he replied, arching an eyebrow all the while. Not only would he enjoy going to Foodfest, but perhaps he could show off his culinary skills there.

[xD We're stuck in the past, oh yay! And sorry about the shortness. x.x]

Zaguruui flushed, embarassed that she had forgotten introductions. "My name's Zaguruui, Zaguruui of Frostdale, obviously." She curtisied, as best as one can without a skirt. "And your name, kind sir?"
She took the opportunity to drink her last sip of coffee, though a bit remained.
She suddenly remembered she had forgotten to pay for her coffee, as she watched the other lemlet pay for his own.
Still waiting for a response, she turned towards the worker and handed off some coins. "Thank you, it was delicious," she said lightly, before turning back to wait for the response.
She gripped the earmuffs she had taken off earlier, ready to replace them and protect her ears from the biting cold.

'Name's Snoe. I travel quite a bit, so it's easy to forget my hometown. Pleased to meet you.' he said in reply to her polite curtsy and query. Afterwards, he silently stood and braced his body for the wind, fur twitching at every minute breeze. The door opened and Snoe stepped into the elements, ears lying flat to maintain some warmth.

He turned until he saw the street sign that led to the bus station, and slowly began making his way there.

I completely forgot why I came to Frostdale... were the last words on Snoe's tongue before he boarded the bus back to Chipperton.

Snoe, now that was a pretty name - or... handsome, since he was most certainly a male. Zaguruui responded, "Nice to meet you as well." Then watched the little lemlet hop out of the store into the harsh winds.
He was a pre-- handsome lemlet, she thought, correcting herself. And she would see him again, if he kept true to his promise, at Foodfest.
Zaguruui then shoved a bit of fur from her face, and put on her earmuffs - and out into the blistering cold she went. More less day she had to live.
