Rosemary Girl interesting times - terry pratchett allice in wounderland - some old dead dude Interesting times went alright, I'd like another book set in hung hung. I tried reading the alice in wonderland series a while back, got bored and stopped halfway through 'through the looking glass'. Tripped me out though, and the copy I had was from the sixties and was obviously drawn by someone tripping at the time, so that was pretty cool.

I'm reading No One's Perfect by H. Ototake. I have to read it for Japanese Extension. It's an autobiography about a guy who was born without arms and legs O:

I currently have bookmarks in the following... although I doubt I shall get back to reading them for a while...
The Bible -by ... people? God? people who think they know what God said? Gullivers Travels - by Jonathan Swift ...there was something else... can't remember... something fantasy based...
I finished Monstrous Regiment a few weeks back... interesting. Pterry like the name Polly, doesn't he?
I have so many books waiting for me after exams... Like a re-read of the entire Obernewtyn Chronicles, and The Legendsong trilogy... oh, and I want The Winter Door (all Isobelle Carmody)... hmm... my birthday is coming up...

mysticaingeal I finished Monstrous Regiment a few weeks back... interesting. Pterry like the name Polly, doesn't he? It's from a really old song called 'sweet polly oliver' about a girl who pretends to be a bloke in order to go to war. And the book isn't actually as far fetched as it seems, except for the vampire having nam flashbacks and whatnot. True stories of women pretending to be men in order to go to war are really really common throughout history and all over the world. And there really was a female seargent who used to round up all the girls pretending to be guys she could find and look out for them, I can't remember when or where that was though. It's still the second worst discworld book though, despite the nam flashback.
