More influenced by science fiction than horror, but A Clockwork Orange is deffinitely one of those real horrorshow sinnies I like to viddy very frequently. What a work of heaven and bliss that sinny is.

alex_clockwork_oi!
The old in out made it more of a "not horror movie"

Yes, horror movies never show or even suggest the old in-out in-out between a bratty and a devotchka.

Not only that but look at the Evil Dead. In that, even the trees get horny.

If I was to catergorize it, it would probably be sci-fi. But it does have some things that could make it belong in horror as well.

:sigh: Alex is so cool.

I don't think it is considered a horror, it is more of a... I don't know what. Too bad Alex can't enjoy an good ole' in-out-in-out like he used to, nor can he listen to Beathoven... Poor guy.

Oh, yes it is. Holy s**t, Tank Girl is so horrible and annoying, it IS scary! That is the last time I ever want to hear the movie about a girl with the superpower to change clothes and hairstyles in between movie frames ever again!

It was only lovely, lovely Ludwig Van's 9th Symphony which Alex became conditioned to. Also, at the end of the film, he is cured, alright. Must have forgotten about that.

How is he cured again? The entire endinfg was so fuggin' obscure to me. He has some official talk with him and the official tells him how he should cooperate... cameras come in and snap-shots are taken with the two giving the thumbs up... Woo.

When his psychiatrist stopped by to give him that test, Alex mentioned having a dream about doctors performing brain surgery on him. The psychiatirst assured Alex that the dream he had was quite normal for his state. She then proceeded to give Alex the test, and Alex gave responses which would reflect his character before beginning the Ludovico treatment.

Afterwards, when Alex's special guest comes by, he apologizes for what has happened to Alex, informs him that the writer is in custody, and tells him that everything is back to normal, and Alex would be taken care of.

When the photographers come in, you must have forgotten the two large speakers blasting Beethoven's 9th symphony that come in with them (and Alex is not freaking out and getting sick by the very music he became conditioned to during treatment).

Also, if he wasn't cured, the word "Clockwork" in the title would not make much sense, since nothing would have returned to the way it was when the movie began.

I agree. Cult classic. Like Rocky Horror. Not really a horror movie...

Ahhh, yes! I do remember the 9th blazing, but I didn't remember the loudspeakers... I should find it at my video-store and not watch it at 2 in the morn.
