I am a ravenous, rabid fan of the Masters of Atmosphere. I'm working towards acquiring the entire Pink Floyd library. I couldn't ever pick a favorite album, though, and my favorite Floyd song keeps changing. Currently it's "Run Like Hell", but "Wish You Were Here", "Learn to Fly", and "Goodbye Blue Sky" have all been challenging that position lately.

I've seen the movie, too, and adore it. I was pleasantly suprised to find that Bob Geldof (of the Boomtown Rats) plays the part of Pink Floyd. He is smashing in the role. The Wall hits me really hard, and has, thematically, been a huge influence to my own art. I get really choked up every time I listen to the album. Soon will I have the entire thing committed to memory.

Bonus: If you play "Empty Space" backwards, you get a secret message of fun! It's that indistinguishable sound at the beginning of the song.

Im pretty sure Im one of the biggest Pink Floyd fans... ever. Although Im sure alot of people would fight that to the death... Im not in here to start a fight.
Animals and Wish You Were Here are probaly my two favorite albums, the guitar solo in Dogs is pretty much orgasmic. The Wall is one of my top movies, and most highly prized posessions, it makes me cry everytime I watch it.
I really look up to Roger Waters, I see him to be a genieus, the way he views the world and the way he wrote his music...
I find it facinating how they survived to be famous for so long, probly because the 'leader' of the band (so to say) changed twice durring their stardom.
Im strongly attached to them emotionaly... I dont know what I'd have done if I didnt have them with me durring the bad times.
My father, a fellow fan, recently gave me 42 CD's of them live in concert.

The song is called "Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)" and the correct form of the lyrics is "We don't need no education."

Heh. I seem to be hearing a lot about them lately. Just finding out my friend is crazy about them and whatnot. I haven't heard enough of them (borders only let me listen to blurbs xd ) to tell how great they are, but they sound pretty good.

PINK FLOYD!!!!!!!!!!

xd

I'm a fan, but I have yet to own some of their stuff. Sad? Maybe. Perhaps my paychecks need to go towards some Pink Floyd instead of new clothes.

Poor deprived child. Go and rent The Wall at your local video rental store. It's a movie based on their music, and it's a bit on the psychadelic/artsy side.

Its not based on their music, more than its the album for The Wall (how obvious xd ) in video form...
I may be wrong, but I believe it was released before the album was.
I heart Roger Waters, hes such a genious, the band wasnt the same without him as the 'leader' and main song writer.
